The dragon snarled in pain, his wound was still oozing blood and had not started to heal.

This isn't good.... I shouldn't have done that... (Dragon)

He thought back to what happened to cause this wound but quickly shook his massive head.

I need to focus on surviving this wound. (Dragon)

He had been flying for hours now and with the blood loss he was ready to collapse. His eyes were starting to close and he dropped closer to the tree tops he was flying over.

Shit, I need to land. (Dragon)

He spotted a small clearing in the forest and headed to it. His landing wasn't a graceful one but he got to the ground either way.

Once he landed he almost passed out right there but he knew if he didn't do anything to help his wound heal, it wouldn't.

The only thing he had the strength to do was reach over and lick his wound. He hoped it would at least slow down the bleeding. After he was done he passed out with one last thought.

At the rate I'll be killed by a passing human.... pathetic... (Dragon)

-later-

He was floating in his dreams, he didn't feel his body or see anything it was pitch black. He figured this might be a dream leading to his ultimate end.

He embraced it and just went with where ever this dream took him.

Eventually his floating cane to a stop. He wasn't sure how he could tell he stopped, since he didn't have a body and he was submerged in a never ending darkness, he just knew.

He noticed a pinpoint of light. He stared at it not sure what it was or what it meant.

Is this a chance? (Dragon)

He wanted to take it. He urged himself to go to it and suddenly he felt his body start to materialize.

He growled, glad to have his body back, and reached out mouth open to the light. Once close enough he snapped his jaws shut over the small orb of light.

He opened his eyes and saw a human who gasped at him.

Human? No..... demihuman maybe? (Dragon)

The dragon didn't care what this creature was, he wanted it gone.

As soon as it tried to speak he growled a warning.

It didn't leave, instead it seemed to be thinking and looking at the dragon and it's wound.

It raised its arm and the dragon growled once more.

This thing is getting on my nerves.... (Dragon)

The thing raised its arms and said something in a strange language. It started circling around to the dragons wounded side.

The dragon growled and snapped his head close to the creature.

It make some sort of yell and jumped back.

The dragon was annoyed at this thing and glared at it. Though that didn't seem to stop it. After a few moments it once again raised its arms and slowly started walking around the side of the dragon.

As it did so it stared into his eyes. He didn't know how to feel about it. Normally he would just roar at what was bothering him, they would always go running. This time he went straight to strategy two and gave a warning bite. Yet this thing did not give up. Now it was staring into his eyes with an almost pleading look. Then it said something in it's strange language and the dragon realized it might actually be trying to help.

I don't have the energy to deal with this.... (Dragon)

He decided to just stare at the thing to make sure it didn't try anything. It stopped a fair distance away and just looked at his wound.

Is it really trying to help a wounded dragon? (Dragon)

He squinted his eyes in suspicion but still did not have energy to do much of anything even if he wanted to. After a while he heard it speak and crack something then head off.

With the creature gone what little energy the dragon had seemed to vanish and he passed out once more.

Cain groaned and rolled over onto his back. He wasn't sure how long he had been laying there but he figured it was the afternoon.

He sat up and sighed raising his arms into the air, he stretched the "sleep" out of his body.

"Well that was unpleasant but I got a lot of information on these plants." (Cain)

He gathered up all the usable ones in front of himself and looked them over.

Most of them ended up being poisonous, had a paralysis effect or made him have a bad case of explosive diarrhea.

He shivered at the memory and picked up the three herbs that he could use, putting them in his inventory.

He got up and headed back to the dragon.

"I hope I'm not to late...." (Cain)

Sorry these chapters are shorter then I would like them to be. Though on the other hand I am working on getting them out sooner. Thanks for reading :D
