Bond

Cain woke up violently.

He shot up from where he was laying and looked around, frantically.

"What the hell happened?" (Cain)

The last this he remembered was....

"My name is Senga." (Senga)

Then he blacked out.

"Why would I have......?" (Cain)

Suddenly his eyes met with another's, they were a light grey with the slightest amount of blue around the pupils.

They were not the eyes of a dragon.

For a while they both just stared at each other.

"Who are you?" (Cain)

He stared at the strange man with suspicion.

He had black hair, a little longer than Cain's. His face was longer and less square, he wore a faint smile on his lips and his eyes were closed most of the time, giving him a somewhat threatening look. he also seemed to be slightly taller than Cain.

The man gracefully raised a hand over his chest where his heart was.

"I'm hurt you can't recognize me." (Strange man)

"Why should I recognize you? I have only seen two people in this world, and they weren't that friendly." (Cain)

Then it suddenly dawned on him, they were speaking in English, the language from his world.

He sprang to his feet, getting into a position to act at a moments notice.

The man raised both hands in the air, a gesture of surrender.

"This is all very confusing and new to me as well, but it's me, Senga." (Senga)

"WHAAAAAAT?" (Cain)

Cain yelled and pointed a finger at Senga.

"That big dragon turned into you? How? And why? Could you always turn into a human?" (Cain)

Cain started running around Senga looking at him from every angle.

Getting a closer look let him see more detail, he had three black scales on each side of his jaw. His ears were slightly pointed and...... he was wearing a butler suit?

"Wait.... where the hell did you get the butler suit? Isn't that sort of thing from my world? And why do you suddenly speak English." (Cain)

He put a hand to his head, a little overwhelmed.

"I don't get it, how did this happen?" (Cain)

Senga gave Cain a slight smile.

"I'm not sure..... but I believe it had something to do with giving you my name." (Senga)

Cain looked at Senga unbelieving.

"You giving me your name turned you into a Demi human butler?" (Cain)

"Well when you put it like that, it sounds strange." (Senga)

"IT IS STRANGE!" (Cain)

"I also think it has to do with your huge amount of magic." (Senga)

"My magic? I don't know how to do any magi-" (Cain)

As he was saying that he realized something.

Since he had done away with the game system, he was able to tell exactly what skills he had and what they did.

After he passed out it seemed as though he gained a skill.

If he were to name and describe it, it would look something like this:

[Monster bond] the ability to tame monsters. It's effectiveness depends on your magic capacity, level of skill, and current relationship with the monster.

He could also tell that it's level was very high already.

"No way...." (Cain)

Did I tame him somehow? I didn't even try to tame him! Isn't this more like forcing him onto me? (Cain)

"Ahem. Yes it seems as though your magic and mine came together and somehow formed this bond. It probably took both our feelings into account and created this type of bond." (Senga)

"You mean owner and pet bond?" (Cain)

Cain looked at Senga warily.

"Something like that yes." (Senga)

"And you wanted this?" (Cain)

"At the moment I wasn't sure what I wanted, but yes actually. Now that I have become your servant I have gained several skills..... I feel as though this was always what I was meant to do." (Senga)

He press his arms out and looked to the sky, basking in the light.

"Righhhhhht." (Cain)

"I honestly would rather have you as a friend." (Cain)

"Impossible." (Senga)

...........

"Ok but that still doesn't explain the butler suit." (Cain)

"Simple, I happened to learn of your previous world when our bond formed. I found the butlers in your world very interesting thus turned my scales into this suit. I also thought it was appropriate given our current positions." (Senga)

How does a dragon go from a fearsome beast to wanting to be someone's servant? I did think we grew closer.... but isn't this super sudden? (Cain)

"Why would my magic make a bond like this? Isn't this supposed to be consensual or something?" (Cain)

Senga thought about it for a moment.

"Hmm perhaps your magic took both our interests into account. You wished to have me as a close friend and I..... well I was not sure what I wanted, I've never had any other emotions or feelings other then arrogance, anger and annoyance. Now that this bond had formed I realized this is what I wanted and needed this whole time." (Senga)

Cain relaxed and smiled at Senga. He was happy that he had found his calling, even if it was a little weird.

"I'm happy for you but isn't it weird for a dragon to want to be someone's servant? Or have a weak master?" (Cain)

Senga smiled sadly at Cain.

"For any other dragon maybe.... but they are all battle and power hungry. I was always more of a..... studious dragon." (Senga)

Senga smiled and opened his eyes wider, the small amount of blue around his pupil glowed slightly.

"And now I feel as though I could best anyone of them in combat." (Senga)

"Ohhhh so like a power up?" (Cain)

Cain grinned, excited. He didn't quite know why Senga would have gotten stronger from the bond forming, that didn't matter though since he seemed happy.

Dosent his mean I can bring him with me to the competition? (Cain)

Sorry that this chapter was mainly just them talking about the bond, I wanted you guys to understand what's happening without giving to much away.
