Ten days

When Cain woke up it was already dark, his clothes were still a little damp but that couldn't be helped so he put them on.

He held up his torn shirt and sighed.

"I'll just use this to bandage my wound." (Cain)

After squeezing and waving it around he was satisfied it was dry, though cold.

He wrapped his healing wound with it and headed back to the orc camp for the night.

Once there he saw the dragon, still in the same place and pose, with its eyes closed.

I guess we will have a early night tonight. (Cain)

He wished they had more food other then orc meat and poisonous berries... for now he wanted to refrain from eating them.

In his previous world he never needed to make a fire, he knew how to but it took time and with the dragon being asleep he decided to wait until morning to cook some more orc meat.

Sad that he will go to sleep hungry he went up to the dragon, it was sleeping leaning on its left side, leaving some of its stomach visible. Cain made himself comfy right next to the dragons warm stomach.

He was a light sleeper for a dragon. Most other dragons were deep sleepers and slept wherever, whenever. This was because they had almost no natural predators. There were other creatures similar in power to dragons but the only times they clashed was if they were fighting over territory.

He woke up to the sound of footfall, it was light almost making no sound.

Without even opening his eyes he knew who it was, the long eared one that he was teaching dragonic to.

He had a surprisingly high learning capability, even though they only went through some basic words that day, normal humans or humanoids would never be able to learn the dragons language.

You had to be able to create similar sounds that dragons make. This mainly included growls, roars, rumbling, a sort of hissing sound, and various other sounds dragons use to communicate.

This was the first thing one needed to be able to do to learn dragonic. This.... guy seemed to be able to replicate the sound after hearing only once.

An extraordinary capability to learn.... and a huge amount of magic.... what is this guy? (Dragon)

As we was lost in thought the long eared guy had come up to him and commenced to make himself comfortable right next to his stomach.

The dragons eyes opened wide.

He has to be stupid (dragon)

Even if he had not harmed him or eaten him yet, that dosent mean you should trust a dragon. This things danger sense had to be zero.

It would be as simple as rolling over to squash him.... (Dragon)

The dragons lips curled into a snarl but he stayed quite and eventually settled himself.

His eyes closed and lips relaxed.

I wonder how he has lived until now... (Dragon)

The dragons belly was like a heater and Cain fell asleep almost as soon as he laid down.

It'll be great to learn this dragons language, seems pretty easy too.... probably because of my passives huh....... (Cain)

He fell asleep mid thought, hungry but warm.

Cain grumbled in his sleep, reaching out for the warmth that left him.
