Cain was still smiling when he went to look for food.
I don't have a skill that will help me in battle yet, but even knowing I can get them by simply doing something is good. (Cain)
Getting some form of food before it got dark would be good. After the "battle" with the bear he was quite hungry.
"Hmm." (Cain)
He came upon a nearby bush that had bright yellow colored berries.
"..........." (Cain)
He stared at them for a while making note that they seemed to be the same shape and size of a grape.
"Bright yellow....." (Cain)
He decided to give it a little test just to be sure they were poisonous. He knew that if something was brightly colored most of the time that meant they were poisonous.
Though this is a different and magic filled world... maybe being brightly colored does not mean anything. (Cain)
He picked one off a branch and licked it. He was shocked to find that the skin of the fruit was quite thick, not thick enough to be considered a peel though.
After waiting a few minutes he shrugged and ate the fruit, He was starving after all. They were very sweet and had a lot of juice in them. The skin of the fruit, that was quite thick, had a slight bitterness to it.
He then started to pick them and put them in his inventory, of course he ate some as he did.
He sighed with a slight smile.
"Good, I have some food now it's time to rest. I need somewhere safe... with 1 hp if even a slime found me as I slept I'm dead meat..... do slimes exist in this world?" (Cain)
Cain walked into the forest, not to far from the small river though.
He found a thick tree and tilted his head to look up it.
"Elves love nature right?" (Cain)
He laughed and decided to sleep on one of the trees branches for the night. He climbed up it fairly easily to his surprise.
He got as comfy as he could and closed his eyes. To his horror he could hear all the weird noises of the forest and the creatures that dwell within. It was unsettling to him After a while though, he couldn't focus on those sounds, his stomach started to ache.
"Oh no." (Cain)
He vomited the berries over the side of the branch and clutched his stomach, It was so painful he couldn't move.
"Shit, was I to hasty?" (Cain)
He sat like that for a few minutes, he was panting and huffing for breath when he got another pop up in front of his face.
[Poison Immunity] immune to even the deadliest of poisons.
"Fuck.....you....." (Cain)
He gasped for breath as he cursed the game system he had.
After that he passed out from pain.
-Morning-
"Guh." (Cain)
He woke with a start and fell out of the tree he was in.
"Ahh perfect way to shock me awake." (Cain)
He stood up from his unfortunate tumble and stretched his body. The wounds from the other day seem to be the slight burn and the bruise on his back, they didn't hurt much anymore.
Do elves have a high healing rate or something? (Cain)
He remember what happened last night and his face went sour for a moment.
"I'm glad I didn't die but isn't this a little to much? I survived an attack from a thunder bear, then a fall from a tree, and even poison?" (Cain)
He looked at his status once again and saw ones across the board.
He sighed in frustration and went to the river to wash his face and to get a drink.
When he got there he saw a squirrel like creatures on the other side of the river at the waters edge. They WERE squirrels, except that they had quills instead of a fluffy tail. They also had tufts of black hair at the end of their ears. Once he got to the water they saw him and scattered.
"Weird little things." (Cain)
Cain washed his face and drank some water before taking out a spear and knife from his inventory.
I'll look around for some other form of food..... I only want to eat those berries if there is no other choice, even if I have the poison immunity, what I went through to get it was horrible. (Cain)
