Emily POV
I walk into Jakie and Peter's right room to see them both cuddled up with each other. Peter has his arms around her waist holding her back onto his bare chest, as their hands are intertwined. They look so peaceful, it's a shame I have to wake them up.

"Peter!" I whisper shaking him lightly. His eyes slowly flutter open and look at me confused.

"Yeah?" He asks groggily wiping the sleep from his eyes with one hand while keeping the other entwined with his girlfriend.

Suddenly, Jakie wakes up and sprints to the bathroom. Peter sits still thinking that it's just a normal bathroom run but both of us get worried expressions when we hear the raspy breathing and coughing coming from her.

"JJ? You okay?" He asks cautiously inching his way off the bed and she groans in response.

I hold my hand up telling him to wait, "I think it's best if I go in there," I explain.

"Okay," He slumps his shoulders.

"JC? Can I come in?" I inquire softly and hear her whimper.

"Yeah," She groans and I open the door halfway and slip through. The sight that greets me is not one I want to remember for my sake and for Jakie's.

"What's wrong?" I ask tucking her brown locks behind her ear.

"My body is tearing itself apart--" She sighs and I hold her hair back as she dry heaves over the toilet because she's already thrown everything up.

"You're gonna be fine," I soothe while rubbing her back.

"Can I have a glass of water and some gum?" She asks leaning back against me.

"Sure," I say and she sits up so I can get to my feet. I get a cup from one of the cupboards and hand it to her after filling it with water.

"Gum?" She asks.

"Oh, right. Sorry, forgot." I say. "Peter, can you please get me a pack of gum? It's in the cabinet to the right of the microwave." I call sticking my head out the door.

"Sure thing," He answers and I hear him go downstairs and collect it.

"Thanks," I smile and pull my head back through the door and hand her the pack of bubble gum even though she doesn't know how to blow a bubble.

"Thank you, Em," She smiles but it doesn't reach her eyes.

"What are best friends for?" I retort with a grin as she unwraps a piece and sticks it in her mouth.

"What's taking so long in there?" Peter asks worriedly and Jakie nods at me telling me that I can talk to him.

I exit the bathroom and shut the door behind me, making sure that in case Jakie needs to puke again, she has easy access and nobody will annoy her. "She'll be sick and as you already know, bitchy, so just don't mind her too much. Stay on her good side, that definitely helps," I explain.

"Thank you for caring so much for her," He smiles at me gratefully.

"My pleasure," I reply and head downstairs completely forgetting why I went to their room in the first place. "Besides, why wouldn't I?"

"I dunno," He smirks and I roll my eyes.

"Well, you're welcome," I repeat.

I sit down in one of the chairs and rest my head on my hands that are propped up by my elbows leaning on the table. I close my eyes for a second letting sleep take over. I feel myself being lifted out of the chair, up the stairs and set on my bed.
"Have a nice nap," Sam whispers kissing my forehead in a brotherly manner.
