Evan...

Evan Hansen...

One of my long time crushes.

I've longed to kiss him, to hold him, to cuddle him, ever since I saw him be a little more confident around me.

Everyday I woke up and told myself, "I'll confess today!"

But that plan was always thrown out the window.

Finally I was ready to tell him, I practiced what I was going to saw, I looked decent enough.

I turned the corner to see him with that freak Conner Murphy.

I saw Murphy signing his cast, his name was put hugely.

I could've done that..

My attention turned to Evan, I looked into his beautiful eyes and just saw something else alive in them.

Love......dammit.

He fell for the Murphy!

I felt my heart shatter into a million, my vision blurred and water filled my eyes.

I ran to the bathroom to bawl my eyes out.

But I chose the wrong bathroom to go in. Unisex.

I kept crying, I didn't care. Then someone came in.

"Jared?" The familiar voice said, Zoe Murphy.

She's been a good friend to go to about problems.

She wrapped her arm around me and I cried into her shirt. "What happened?"

I tried to speak but I couldn't, she just thought I was choking on tears but..it was something else.

{No POV}

Jared pulled away from the hug and started to have a coughing fit.

Zoe flat out thought he was coughing because he cried too much but it was something much worse.

Jared was finally able to gag out whatever he was choking on. A little flower petal, another came out. One was red and the other was blue.

The girl covered her mouth, she almost cried at this.

"Hanahaki." She simply said.

"What?" Jared looked at her, sniffling a little.

The blonde pulled her phone out and search it.

"Hanahaki is a disease born from a one sided love. The person who gets Hanahaki will start coughing up flower petals, this disease is incredibly deadly.

There are two ways to get rid of this.
The first is surgery, but when the flowers are removed, so is the feelings for the love interest.
The second is the other person falling for you."

Jared's eyes widened.

"We need to get you the surgery-"

"NO!" Jared cut Zoe off. "I never want to stop loving Evan. He's too perfect to give up!"
