Autumn breeze flows through the air, it is getting too chilly to do your work outdoors. Standing up, you grab your books, and sling your satchel over your shoulder. The cold, fall breeze blows against the back of your neck and sends shivers down your spine. Your satchel bumps against your body, and your feet leave a fresh set of footprints with every step you take. You can see some younger students playing in the white, fluffy snow in the Hogwarts Courtyard.

You walk through the Courtyard doors and into the corridors of Hogwarts. In hopes of being able to concentrate in the Gryffindor Common Room, you head there. The portrait swings open, as you say the password. Scanning the room, your gaze lands on your favorite armchair, that sits next to the warm and cozy fireplace. You start to imagine yourself doing your homework, curled up in your armchair, feeling the warmth of the fire.

As you stare at the back of your favorite armchair, you began to see the silhouettes of two people sitting in your chair. You can see the glow of the fire reflecting, and you can hear the laughter. While walking towards the chair, you hope that it is just a couple of first years, that you can kick out.

You slowly creep up to the chair and peek around. Heartbroken by what you see, you run upstairs, completely forgetting about your homework. He was with her...again. He will never notice me in that way. Does he even know that I cry? Does he even care? You keep thinking tons of questions that are unanswerable because he only holds the answer.

You lay on your bed, just as you hear the door open. You don't even bother to look up, for you know who it is. It's him. Why is he here? I doubt he even cares. Why do you keep thinking negative thoughts? He has been there for you your whole life. Perhaps, it is your desire to be noticed by him in a different way than friendship.

You feel a soft tap on your back, and you look up to see him sitting next to you on your bed. Telling him to go away won't work, for you know how stubborn he is. You hear him ask you "what's the matter." Knowing that you'll have to give him an answer, you start to ponder the right words to say to him.

Of course, you want to give him the logic answer, but this time you can't. You want to tell him you're alright, but you can't seem to force those words out of your mouth. Without knowing it, you tell him how it breaks your heart when you see him with her. Tell him how you can't manage to go on without his love. You don't care that it might have ruined your friendship. You tell him how you're leaving for the US. tomorrow, and how you're not returning. You tell him how you can't go on every day seeing him with her. You stand up and give him one last hug before you Apparated.

When you run into your house, you find it empty, as your parents are in France for a week. You run up to your bedroom and jump onto your bed. Right after hitting the mattress you rapidly fall into deep slumber thinking about him. The next morning you wake up to the bright, shining rays of the morning sun. You smile, but your expression quickly changes when you remember last night.

You jump out of bed and walk into the bathroom. You throw on some leggings, a shirt, and a sweatshirt. Grabbing your bags and walking out of the house, is harder than you thought it would be. Tears start to drip down your face, as you realize this is your last time in the house that you've lived in for your whole life. You haven't told your parents, because you don't want them to follow you. Finding yourself in a position where you haven't told anybody besides him, you frown. Why is it always him? Why do I always tell him everything?

You want to travel in a muggle taxi because you don't want to get there anytime soon. Reality hits you, and you realize how much you'll miss him. Moving on was your plan, but you can't seem to. You don't want to leave him, but you have no option.

You get into the taxi, just as it starts to rain. Staring at the rain brings tears to your eyes, as you flashback to a time in the 4th year when you and he were walking out in the rain. Oh, how you miss him. You pay the driver, grab your bags, and slowly walk towards the port. This is where you will be boarding the ship to bring you to the US. You look around for anyone that you know.... you saw nobody. Suddenly, you felt alone. You'll miss all your friends, especially him. Showing them your ticket, you look back at the city of London, knowing that you'll remember all the memories you made here."This is the last time that you'll be home," you think to yourself as you step onto the ship.

It has been a week since you have arrived at your new home. You have been incredibly lonely, and have been cooped up in your hotel. You decided that you would get a flat after a month of staying in the US. There was no going back, you have made your decision. Your decision was the best for everyone. They probably didn't miss you at all. They probably were relieved that you were gone. You probably had done them all a favor.

You pull out a book, and head over to the window seat. However, you cannot focus on reading. Instead, you find it quite peaceful to stare out the window. You look down at the huge group of people. All with their loved ones. All of them surrounded by family and friends, but not you, you're all alone.

You hear your hotel door open, but it is just the maid. You continue to stare at the people, wishing that someone would come. Wishing that he would notice you, but sadly wishes don't come true. You feel a soft tap on your shoulder and turn around to see a pair of curious emerald green eyes staring at you.

"Why are you here? Why wouldn't you be with her?" You hear yourself ask him. He tells you that he isn't in love with her. You ask him why he left his only home to find you. He responds by whispering a couple of words that would normally mean nothing, but they mean the world coming from him.

"It's not home without you, Hermione."
