The fresh snow sparkled on the stone ground, of the breath-taking Courtyard of Hogwarts. Hermione slowly dragged her feet, her attention glued on each page of her intriguing novel. No matter how much anybody tried, she would never seem to lose focus or be distracted from her reading. However, only one person could seem to cause her to snap out of her daze. That happened to be, her best friend, Harry James Potter.

She tended to wonder why he could do such things, while the rest couldn't, and she had soon come to the realization. Maybe it was because Hermione Granger, herself had begun to fancy him, even though she refused to accept the fact.

"Mione, why are you reading?! You are missing out on all the fun!" Harry chuckled, tossing a snowball playfully at her. Hermione couldn't help but grin at his childlike behavior, or at the adorable nickname she had just received from him.

Hermione laid her book down on the bench and hurried over to meet Harry, only to be greeted by an unpleasant feeling. Apparently, Harry had thought it would be witty to throw a heap of frozen sleet at her. Hermione tumbled backward, much to her embarrassment, and the wind was suddenly knocked out of her.

A warm pair of hands hoisted her up and she instantly greeted them by a slap. "Harry James Potter!!" She screeched, grabbing her book and dramatically storming into the castle.

Hermione was snuggled up in the cozy armchair, that resided next to the radiant fire. The door to the Gryffindor Common Room, flew open, causing her to drop her book. She glared at Harry as he walked in, and sat on the chair adjacent to her.

"Listen, Hermione, I'm sorry-" He started, immediately stopping as if he was debating on what to say.

"Sorry for what?" Hermione snapped, yanking her head in the other direction. "Being a jerk!" A smirk played at Hermione's lips, as she turned her attention back to the raven-haired boy sitting next to her.

"You take that back!" He pouted, his bright green puppy dog eyes pleading with Hermione. His once begging eyes glowed with mischievous laughter, and an immeasurable smirk grew on his face. Harry swiftly reached his arm around and tickled Hermione. Her joyous giggles filled the air, causing Harry to chuckle too.

Finally, after hours of messing around, the duo had gotten extremely hungry. Hermione found herself staring at Harry, as they sat in comfortable silence, both of them afraid to break it.

"Hermione can we go eat?!" Harry whined, interrupting the serenity.

"Sure, but you are getting to sound like Ron."

"Am not!!"

"Are too!!"

This nonstop bickering continued until they had reached the Great Hall, where Harry instantly shut up, and bolted to the food.

"See you are like Ron..." Hermione muttered into his ear, boasting. Her breaths blew against his neck, sending shivers down his spine. "I knew it, I'm always right!"'

The food vanished from the crowded table, and Hermione sighed. "Come on, Harry, let's go." He followed after her, interlacing his fingers with hers.

A faint blush spread across Harry and Hermione's cheeks, both of them hoping the other one didn't notice. They continued their journey until...BANG!! They were stuck, much to Hermione's confusion. A golden light glowed from above them, captivating their attention. Above them, on the roof, rested a branch of mistletoe. It's white berries, sparkled as the light reflected off of them.

Hermione's face felt as though it was on fire. She looked down, to see Harry's gaze fixed upon her, a similar color flushed onto his checks. He slowly leaned in, and so did she. They were both became oblivious to everything around them, as they continued kissing each other. When they had finally pulled apart, Harry rested his forehead against hers, and whispered into her ear.

"Merry Christmas, Mione."
