The rain dripped down from the sky, sending me into a state of serenity. I sighed softly, turning in my sleep. A loud boom of thunder rolled in the sky, followed by a bolt of lightning. A faint knock echoed throughout the house, being muffled out by the constant sound of the falling rain. I groaned, slouching out of bed. Who could possibly want to see me at this time of night?!

I wiped the sleep from my eyes, stifling a yawn. The lock snapped open, and I hesitantly cracked open the door.

"Who's there?!" I muttered, my hand perched on the door. When nobody replied, I opened the door to come face to face with Harry Potter.

I sent a sharp glare his way and slammed the door in his face. After all these months he just shows up? Tears threatened to spill out of the corners of my eyes, as I found myself looking longingly at the door.

I huffed, yanking the door open once more. However, my back stayed facing him.

"Mione." He mumbled under his breath, wrapping his arms delicately around my waist. He buried his face in my hair, inhaling my scent of strawberry vanilla. I felt his hot breath ricochet off of my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

"What? Why did you come here?! After months of leaving me here alone, you just randomly decided to come back?! You expected everything to resume as they were before you left?!" I cried, not bothering to pull away from him.

"No, Hermione. I'm sorry. Leaving you wasn't right, but I quit to come back. I quit my job as an Auror because I missed you too much and I couldn't go another day without seeing your face." He whispered into my ear.

"Oh, Harry." I turned around, locking lips with him.

A loud knock snapped me awake from my dream, causing a frown to appear to my face. My bedroom door creaked open, as I snuck down to the front door. My hand locked around the door handle, ready to pull it open any second. Despite my logic, I couldn't help but wonder if it could be him. Maybe just this once, dreams could be perceived as the future. My eyelids felt heavy, and soon closed. I bit my lips softly, tightening my grip on the handle. With a smile etched onto my face, I worked up the courage to finally pull the handle, and see if fate was in my possession tonight.
