Story #5: The Wish Off

"I'm more bored than I was when Jaiden was waiting in line for the Nintendo Switch," Nelson explained, dropping another magazine onto his face.

"You wanna wish for anything?" Patrisha asked, not taking her eyes off her "Pretty Little Fairies" magazine.

"I don't know what to wish for...."

"Do you want to be in a video game?"

"Already have last week."

"Do you want to kill anyone?"

"Not with magic."

"Well, I'm running out of ideas, baby," Patrisha explained, throwing her magazine on Nelson's face.

"So am I. That's why I'm bored. Jaiden and Pam are gone at a couples convention, Saturday got accidentally eaten by Pam, and FGPP hasn't wanted to talk to me since my anniversary," Nelson explained.

Suddenly, Patrisha got an idea.

"You know what, Nelson?"

"If it is about your love life, I don't want to know."

"Nope. I just think I could beat you in a wish off."

"A wish off?" Nelson asked, suddenly getting interested.

"Yeah, we can see who wishes for the better thing. Let's have a battle in an alternate dimension."

And with a flick of her wish,

*poof!*

They left the apartment.

*poof!*

They appeared in a grid-like world. Everything was flat. No hills, no buildings.

"Whoa, this place sure beats Kityan's house!" Nelson said in aw.

"Yup. I come here when I'm stressed."

"Stressed? Stressed about what?"

"My relationship, see-"

"Never mind. Let's get this battle started!"

*dun dun dun dum dun dun dun*

Suddenly, Pokémon battle music started to play out of nowhere.

"Okay," Patrisha said, "I choose Godzilla!"

*poof!*

A tiny lizard appeared by her mint-green slippers.

"Yeah, I think that's Godzilla," Nelson laughed.

*bam!*

The lizard started to grow in size until it was at least 400 feet tall.

"Rawww!!!" Godzilla screamed.

"How's that for a Godzilla?" Patrisha asked with a big smirk across her face.

"That's nothing compared to this!"

A hat appeared on Nelson's head.

"A hat?" Patrisha laughed.

"Just warming up!"

Nelson turned his hat around and threw a Pokéball.

"Go Master Hand!"

*flash!*

A giant floating hand appeared in the air.

"Hahaha," it laughed.

"That's not even a Pokémon!" Patrisha exclaimed.

"I know. I just always wanted to do that before."

It was Godzilla Vs. Master Hand!

"Ready?" Patrisha asked.

"Ready!"

"Fighting commence!" Patrisha yelled.

The Master Hand moved first at a blazing speed at Godzilla!

*pow!*

He slapped across its face.

"Grrr!" Godzilla growled.

*pow!*

Godzilla uppercut punched Master Hand right in the palm.

*zip!*

The Master Hand went thousands of feet up, until it teleported to Godzilla.

Patrisha gasped.

"It can teleport!"

"You bet your talking trash can it can!"

"Wait?! How did you know that!?"

"I didn't! I just said something random! Not surprised you actually have one!"

*grasp!*

The Master Hand grabbed Godzilla in its enormous hand.

"Now squeeze it!" Nelson demanded.

*poof!*

Godzilla poofed away.

"Yes!" Nelson cheered.

"Forget about fighting, let's see who can wish for the best tasting food!" Patrisha decided.

"Fine!" Nelson agreed.

Nelson immediately knew what he was going to wish for.

"You first!" Patrisha suggested.

"Sure," Nelson agreed, "I wish for a giant loaf of white bread!"

*poof!*

As soon as it appeared, Nelson had a huge urge to destroy that huge loaf.

"I knew you would go for bread!
That's why I'm going for your other favorite food!"

Nelson gasped.

"I haven't revealed that to my readers yet! Don't do it!" Nelson demanded.

"I wish for a giant stick of butter!"

*poof!*

"No!!!!"

It was beautiful. The most perfectly rectangular stick of butter Nelson has ever seen.

"Audyehwuaisfwiwbehsiehekwbwhwj.."

Nelson was drooling faster than the speed of a waterfall.

"Haha! I got you, child!" Patrisha laughed.

It was the hardest thing he has ever done; snap out of food heaven. Nelson suddenly knew what he had to do next. He full on karate kicked Patrisha to another dimension!

*kick!*

"Nelson!-"

*flash!*

She was gone.

Nelson's paw was covered in flames.

"That was one blazing punch!"
