The cabinet door swings open, revealing a cog-shaped key inside, and the group bursts into cheers. Amarie, especially, was clapping and shouting "Awesome! Good work!" as if everything was okay. They all have to admit, it was exciting and fun when they work together to solve clues.

Shaadira
There's a note. Of course there isss, cause why not?

"What is it?" Shay asks and Octavia chimes in "Read it out loud!". Rita clears her throat "The ungodly machine is in the basement.." then she stops after that one line "Oh, God," She groans "Not the basement!". The guests complain and gasp, Everything is terrifying as is, but the basement is where, they all knew, the scariest parts happen. Amarie motions for Rita to continue reading and she does so "The cog key will ignite its wicked engine, but understand...once the machine has been started, it can only be stopped by the loss of an innocent life." Shaadira gasps, Octavia put a hand to her mouth. Alec looks like he might just barf "Two guests must be selected by the vote of the group...".

Amarie
Here it comes. The murders. The eliminations. Sentenced to death by our so-called friends. Another one of us has got to die!

"Trey!" Sophia shouts, pointing at the Gambler with an accusing finger "...to be locked in the machine. Then those two must each choose a partner who will aid them in defeating the machine.". "There's no way in hell, I'm going in the basement," announces Tamaya. "Hold on that means that the person must choose a partner and if that partner loses, then the person that chose them dies?" Octavia asks for clarification. Thomas nods and the group gasps "That's so much pressure." responds Tim. Thomas carries on with "Please, discuss this among yourselves.".

Daniel
First of all, ungodly machine. What the hell is that? And now someone's got to go down there and die?!

Amarie is the first to snap out of the shock "Shit." She stands up, grabs Kiersten's and Shangag's wrists, and tugs them to their feet "Okay, come with me.". They head off together, Amarie shoots a stare at the rest of the group, as if to warn them against voting for her closest friends. "Octavia, Nya come join us!" Amarie shouts as they form a group in the next room over. As soon as Octavia and Nyadhol leave, Tamaya and Trey decide to tag along with them.

Bryan
Amarie and the others leave, and I think there's no better time then right now

"Okay, soo you guys listen. We might have a situation. And I want all of us to be on the same page." Bryan starts out, and the guests that haven't separated sit around and listen. "We think Amarie may not be telling the full story. About this place. Us having to die. All of it." He says, the group starts to look a bit confused so Shaadira and Olivia back Bryan up. "Wyatt told me, before we went in to our challenge, that he believed the journal that told us about the gems and artifacts was written just before Brynn and them found it." Olivia inputs, "And think about it. Why would the Sorceress want US? We don't know her and she doesn't know us." Shaadira adds on to the case. "So you're saying that she might be the one that wants us dead?" Mary asks and Bryan nods, against his beliefs, but he must keep it as a possibility "Then if that's true, how are we going to get out of this place? Away from, her?" Kai motions toward Amarie standing in the hallway with her group. "We need to get her to admit it." Sarah says, being onboard with Bryan. "What if she gets eliminated?" Shay wonders out loud as the group turns to her, "Wait, what?" Nancy asks. "Yeah, if they're right. Then she invited us Here. So what if she gets eliminated in one of the challenges then this entire thing vanishes? No more deaths, no more gems or artifacts." Shay contributes and the group begin gasp with hope "That could work.". Cole looks over to Amarie's group and notices some of the people over there appear to ease drop. "Guys! I think they're trying to listen to what we're saying." Cole whispers to the group and deciding they need a cover, Tim pipes up "I think Sarah should be voted in.". The group looks over at Tim with confused looks and Sarah appears hurt at Tim's comment, but Rita catches on. "Are you sure? I think one of us hasn't exactly been the best help." She glances over at Alexis and Alexis is baffled "What are you trying to say Rita?". Soon enough their entire group catches on and then people begin to point fingers at each other. "I'm a Daredevil. How is that awful?" Devon protests, going along with the act. Sophia pipes up, gesturing with her right hand as she talks "Well, out of all of us, you are the worst one, so..." She shakes her head. Devon smirks at her as he adjusts his jacket "More like The best dressed.". Bryan laughs "Ohh, don't even start Dev." Devon narrows his eyes "Bryan, you're not all that yourself.". "Okay, with an attitude, too?" Sarah has entered the conversation "No, no, no.". "You guys are very quick to throw stones from over there," says Alec. The group decides to to spit into two groups to really sell the act. "Are we?" Mary inputs as she crosses her legs and leans back. Once Amarie's group stops trying to eavesdropping, they return to their own "The useless have to die." conversation. "I think we should form an alliance," Amarie whispers, in a surprisingly smooth tone. "Me too." Nyadhol glances around the room for a second before turning her attention back to the group "But who do we kick out?". Tamaya gives a very quiet chuckle "Someone else who's useless." . The second she says that, a certain jazzing singer pops into Trey's mind.
