The Man with No Name's lair is one of the most scariest things that Shaadira has ever seen, and she's seen a lot of scary things tonight.
Shaadira There are bones everywhere. The whole area is covered in a green fog. Everything about it screams, run away.
"Oh, there's a bridge, great." says Shaadira. The bridge is the only thing that separates the girls from the foggy mess of a lair. But before they can cross into harm's way, they have to read the instructions.
There are two sets of eight letters hidden throughout the lair that spell the name of the Man with No Name: one red and one yellow. The first to find their set and arrange them must call out his name. They will then receive the blood gem, and the other will be strangled.
Kiersten frowns.
Kiersten So, in this challenge, we need to run around, find all the letters, and figure out what this guy's name is.
Shaadira Whoever does that first gets to call him by name, and then, they'll live. The loser will die.
My friends are waiting for me, she remembers. They'll be sad if I die. Especially Devon. I can't do that to him. And Nancy. Olivia. Rita. Bryan. Alexis.
"All right, ladies." Mortimer stares off into the distance, his hands in his pockets "You ready?".
No, Kiersten almost says, but she knows that it doesn't matter if she's ready or not. She has to do this. Or, at least, she has to try. It was easy for her to give up back in the lounge, when the danger was so far away, but now that the Man with No Name's domain is right in front of her eyes.
Kiersten I need to get the hell out of here. It's not hope that motivates me...
It's terror.
Besides, her opponent is Shaadira, so she has better odds than she would've had against Alec, Daniel or Rita. Kiersten doesn't want her friend to be strangled by a monster, but this town doesn't care what she wants, so better Shaadira than me.
Mortimer's voice distracts her from her thoughts. "Kiersten, you remember, you're yellow."
"I'm yellow..." Kiersten repeats.
"Shaadira, you're red."
"I'm red.." Shaadira nods.
Mortimer gives a sad smile "Approach the bridge.".
The girls whimper, hold hands, and walk to the bridge. Kiersten tries to ignore the Man with No Name.
