"Guys," says Bryan, "we can talk about chocolate later." He turns to face Trey "Unless you want to go shirtless for the rest of the night, you should go get changed. We'll wait for you.". "You sure you don't wanna see me shirtless?" Trey says in a cocky manner. Rita makes a disgusted face while Nancy snickers "I'm sure nobody wants to see that.". The others laugh at her comment. Trey frowns before disappearing down the hall. Kyler leans back into the couch, trembling with relief. Trey is alive. Then, she notices the sad look on Bryan's face, and her heart aches with reluctant sympathy. Josh's death plays over and over again in Bryan's mind...the flash of green...the way his body fell into the pool...He wants to forget. He needs to forget. "Bryan ?" Kyler's voice breaks through his memories "Are you okay?". "Of course she's not okay!" snaps Brynn "How could anyone be okay after seeing something like that?". Bryan grabs a couch cushion and hugs it close to his chest "I'm fine," he mumbles. Shaadira walks over and gives him a hug. Eventually, Trey returns in full Gambler array, and the group gathers around a table in the library. We started with twenty-nine, and now we have twenty-five, Devon notices.

If this "life for a gem or artifact" pattern keeps up, more people are going to have to die. I hope to God that I'm not one of them.

"What just happened with Josh was absolutely crazy," Amarie remarks "We just witnessed him die." "That's gonna keep happening unless we finish this," Sarah says emotionless. "Everybody will die if we don't get out of here by dawn." As the words leave Bryan's mouth, a thought occurs to him.

Bryan
This whole time, we've been playing by the Sorceress's rules, and we've been dying anyway. We need to outsmart her. That way, we might have a chance at getting out of here without any more deaths.

"Okay, So we had vampires, an ungodly machine, we had spiders, we had Confederates, and now we have a candy bar." Brynn says blankly "A bit of a letdown, if you ask me.". "We just have to open this candy bar," says Mary, holding it up for the group to see.

Brynn
Girl, you better share!

The sight of the chocolate bar in her hands is enough to make Mary's stomach rumble. They've been trapped in here for hours, and they haven't eaten anything.

Mary
I'm hungry! I would love to have a bite.

She reads the wrapper aloud
"A delicious, delectable chocolate bar. Smells like pure joy.".
"I don't know..." mutters Shay as Mary unwraps the chocolate bar "Do we really have to eat the chocolate bar? We don't know what's in it...". Mary ignores her.

Mary
Girl, I don't care. I'm eating this chocolate if it's the last thing I do

Honestly, Rita agrees with Shay. It's dangerous to eat anything this house presents to them, especially considering all the deaths they've already endured.

Rita
What if it's poisoned? We don't know. We don't know anything.

There's a yellow slip of paper with the chocolate "Golden Ticket?" Brynn asks. Kiersten reads it.
Once the children have spoken, devour me, and two paths will appear.
Shaadira's eyes nearly bulge out of her sockets "There are kids in this house?". "Why are there..." Nancy blinks in surprise "How many people are being held here?".

Shaadira
I don't even like kids that much. They freak me out. The last thing I need is a bunch of small-sized terrors to deal with on top of everything else.
