The One To Be Buried Alive

We killed Mary already. We pushed her into a spike box of death, all of us did. And now. Now we gotta bury someone alive. This is terrible....

Alexis
Buried alive...

They should have known. Caroline's story was a warning to them, an urgent message from beyond the grave.

Bethany
She was taken against her will, buried in this very coffin, and died of suffocation after hours....

Olivia
And now, someone in this group is about to suffer a similar fate.

Alexis has never been so scared in her life.

Thomas, at least, shows sympathy to the group with his teary eyes.

"I think this is nothing new. Each of you come up here and vote the person that you think should go in the coffin," he says in a sad voice, holding out his hands. "Then I will do the shuffle and.....you know what comes next everyone."

The members of the group seem terrified. Bethany and Nyadhol are a whimpering mess. Daniel's got his head in his hands. Trey, Shangag and Devon are muttering something to themselves. Kyler's crying, she doesn't want to kill another person. Shaadira, Alexis and Olivia are looking at the open coffin.
Bryan is holding Rita close to him. Alec is so quiet. Amarie and Octavia just look at one another.

"I am so sorry that you guys got invited and messed up in this," Amarie breathes heavily,
"but...please, do not put me in this coffin."

Bethany
Someone has to go. The question is...who?

Kyler can hear her frightened heart booming in her ears. She's hyperventilating, downing gulps of air. Her legs are useless beneath her.
Her mind's a tangled mess of fear, disbelief, and despair.

Kyler
Why? Why this? Why does it have to be this?

Nyadhol doesn't like coffins, she doesn't want to watch a friend get buried alive, she sure as hell doesn't want to get buried alive herself...

"Who do we think should be the one to be buried?" pipes up Daniel.

And then, much to her horror, the group turns on her.

"I think Nyadhol!"

"Nyadhol!"

"I think we should put Nyadhol in the coffin!"

"I will not! Y'all got me fucked up..." Nyadhol forces the words out of her dry throat.
"I won't go!"

"Look at how scared she is!" shouts Bryan.
"You guys—"

But Trey shouts him down.
"I think it's time for her to go!"

Nyadhol's eyes glisten with tears. Are they serious? They wanna bury her?

"Please, whatever y'all do, do not put me in that box!"

"You guys. It has to be someone. It's either Nyadhol. Kyler. Amarie. or Octavia. That's what it comes down to." Daniel tells the group.
