"All right," says Trey once they've all settled down. "So what's next?"

"I would suggest looking at the journal again Amarie." Thomas says softly. Amarie remembers the journal led them to the Madison the mermaid. She's handed the journal against and after a few seconds, she finds the right page.
Clears her throat, and reads.

His name is Colin Wentworth. He's from New Haven, Connecticut, and he fought in the Great War. He has the power to leave the house at any time, but he refuses to go out without the stash of German gold he recovered during the war.

Olivia
So he's a miser. The man's entire existence revolves around a freskin' forgotten treasure chest, to the point where he'll gladly send us into harm's way just to get it back. Just great!

Colin liked to move the gold daily, and one of his hiding spots was in a lockbox. He kept the combination hidden in riddles, which he wrote down in a notebook. Something to do with the number of letters in the answer.

Daniel's voice is a mix of frustration and bitterness. "Why does everything have to do with so much riddles?!"

"I hate riddles." grunts Shaadira.

"And letters." Rita rolls her eyes.
"Ugh."

"Let's do this."

Devon scans the room, and boom, there's the safe, hiding under a nearby desk.
He picks it up and places it on the table.

"How many numbers are there?" Trey asks.

He checks the lock.
"Three."

"Okay." Kyler nods.
"Now we just need the notebook. That's going to give us what we need for the combination."

"The notebook..." Bryan's staring at a bookshelf, squinting at stacks of leather-bound volumes.

"It's not gonna be any of them...." he mutters.
"They don't look like notebooks."

"Keep looking!" shouts Devon.

Octavia
Here we go again.

"Ugh!" Olivia groans as she takes a seat.
They've turned this entire foyer upside down in their search for the notebook, and nothing.
"It could be anywhere!"

But then, Thomas leads them to a room where he thinks there's a possibility of having the notebook.
A study.

So they look around the study. And thankfully, there's Colin's notebook, a pad of paper held together by some rusty spirals.
Nancy snatches it up, her fingers trembling with nervousness.

"Guys!" shouts Alec.
"We found it!"

Nyadhol
Let's get these damn riddles over with already!

It can be dropped from the tallest of buildings and survive, but drop it from the smallest ship and it won't.

"Paper!" Alec shouts.

"Paper." Devon counts the word out on his fingers.
"P-A-P-E-R. That's five letters."
