Chapter 4- School

Previously

We left class while he kept trying to flirt with other girls while I'm right next to him. 'Can the day get anymore awkward?' I thought entering the cafe.

"Don't get jealous, I haven't had time to be with you?" Jace said smirking.
I just rolled my eyes and walked in to the cafe.

*Now*

Clary P.O.V

I walked in the cafe and went in line to get my lunch which I wasn't gonna eat. 'Thank God I brought a sandwich' I thought. I didn't get the food except for an apple and a Gatorade for later if I'm thirsty. When I was gonna exit the line, I tripped but was caught.

"First day of school and you want to ruin my reputation? Come on sis, you're better than this." I look up and realize it's Seb. Oh great.

I roll my eyes. "Shut up and thank you." I finally got my balance and then playfully hit his shoulder.

"So follow me and I'll show you where we can sit." Said Seb.

I followed him and bumped into Rose with the Doctor,'what an odd nickname, but it sounds cool'. "Hey how's your day been? Enjoying the Institute? Rose had told me about you." asked the Doctor.(A/N This is the tenth doctor.)

"Yeah it is great. Rose told me about you too. Wanna join us for lunch?" I ask them.

"Sure we love too." says rose following me.

I get to the table and see Simon, Izzy & Alec laughing while Jace didn't realize he was starting at me and was nudged by Izzy. She whispers something to him and he hesitates to answer.

I cough and say" Hey guys this is my friends, Rose and the Doctor." after introductions, we sit and laugh for a while.

Jace P.O.V

I was already at the table when I see Clary talking to what's her name, Rose I think and her boyfriend. She was coming over and I didn't realize I was staring until Izzy nudged me and whispered, "Is the Jace Lightwood falling for a girl and is scared to make a move." She laughs.

I began to stutter, "W-wh-what, I don't like Clary, what makes you say t-that." Great I never stutter, tonight while we're practicing, I have to know what Clary is doing to me.

She speaks up" Hey guys this is my friends, Rose and the Doctor." That's who the guy was, the Doctor. Clary looks beautiful smi- wait what am I saying, I can't like Clary. 

She sits next to Simon, he's a great guy but I have a feeling that I should be the one making her laugh and smile. 

I was distracted till Sebastian speaks up and asks us "Hey wanna join me and a few friends to the Pandemonium? It'll be fun and think of it as a celebration for Simon and Clary." He grinned waiting for our answers.

I was gonna respond then, "Sorry Seb, I would love to go but I have to compose a song with Jace afterschool today. I would love to but I'm sorry." I realize that Clary spoke. She preferred being with me? I should be surprised but I think I'm happy. Why?

Clary's P.O.V

I was laughing with Simon and it felt natural. He was there for me all the time and we went out for a while, but I thought of him more as a big brother than a boyfriend. It was great but I have an urging feeling of having Jace with me. I can tell he flirts and loses other girls virginity, then leaves them. I need to know if he will do that to me because he's cute but dangerous to be around.

Sebastian spoke up, " Hey wanna join me and a few friends to the Pandemonium? It'll be fun and think of it as a celebration for Simon and Clary."

I wasn't sure if it was a good idea. So I said " Sorry Seb, I would love to go but I have to compose a song with Jace afterschool today. I would love to but I'm sorry." I can't believe I said that. It wasn't a good idea to go.

The bell rang and we said our goodbyes.

*Time jump to Art*

This is what I enjoy in school besides music and lunch. It was great and we could work on any drawing we liked. Mrs.Lightwood was a great teacher.

I was drawing Jace because of his angelic features and body. I was drawing till Jace sat next to me. I closed my notebook shut.

"You know, we don't have to just song write. We can do other things." Jace says winking and smirking. I just roll my eyes and walk out of class. The day went fast. I hope it's worth it going to Jace's house.
