Chapter 2- The Institute

   Simon's P.O.V

     I woke up with a pain in my back. I reached for my glasses and saw the time. I just remembered it was our first day at school for Clary and me at the Institute.

    I wasn't sure about this because me and clary had a good life after what happened with Clary's dad. Now with moving to New York, nothing felt the same.

    I got up and took a quick shower. I got out and put on a plain blue t-shirt with a red hoodie and blue jeans with vans.

     I went outside and walked towards Clary's house. I took out my cell phone and on the third ring she answered.

     

  "Hello" said Clary

"Hey, you ready? I'm at your door." I said.

    I was really nervous because today we start our first day of high school at the Institute.

     Clary came outside and we walked towards the Institute.

       We talked for a while till we got to the front gate. It was amazing, it was shaped like a giant cathedral and other buildings together and the garden was amazing.

   

"You ready?" I said.

Clary lets out a sigh."I guess so." ,but I can tell that we both know we're not.

   
Clary's P.O.V

This was incredible, the Institute was beautiful. Now was a time when I wished I had my sketch book with me and a pencil.

  Me and Simon walked through the gates and everyone was staring at us.

It was different but exciting because I'll finally see my brother again.

   I haven't seen him in a few years because he got accepted into the New York Institute. He was like my only family besides my mom.

    Simon and I don't know where the office is, so we walk around the school and I was daydreaming. I didn't realize it until I crashed into someone and fell.

      "I..I'm so so sorry!" I said panicking while Simon picked me up.

       "No it's fine, are you alright?" said the girl, she was blond and had an accent.

        "Yeah I'm fine" I said holding onto Simon.

      "Great, I'm Rose, Rose Tyler." said Rose.

       "I'm Clary, Clary Fairchild and this is my friend Simon, Simon Lewis." I said pointing to Simon.

      "Hey, nice to meet you Rose." said Simon.

     "Yeah nice to meet you both, I was just walking around looking for my boyfriend, The Doctor also known as John Smith." said Rose.

    "Great and do you have any idea of how to get to the office?" said Simon interfering in our conversation. I think Simon got annoyed in our lurk he conversation. Rose and I will be good friends.

      "Yah I do, you go down the hall, turn left, then second door to the right." said Rose pointing out the directions.

      "Thanks, come on Clary." said Simon nudging me.

      "Yeah I'll see you guys 'round." said Rose waving good-bye.

      I waved goodbye and ascended towards the office while holding onto Simon because he has been like a big brother to me.

    We went through the door and talked to the assistant.

   "Hello I'm Simon Lewis and this is my friend Clary Fairchild. We came to talk to the principal." said Simon acting all adult-like and big.

   We went in his office and had a name plate, Mr.Lightwood - Principal. He turned his chair to face us and said" Hello, you must be the new students. And please call me Robert."

  "Oh..um.. sure. Hello I'm Clary and this is Simon." I said telling Simon to sit down.

   "Hello Clary and Simon, here are your schedules."said Robert giving them a piece of paper. I looked at them and Simon and me gave the same schedule.

   Our schedules-
1st Period- History
2nd Period-Physics
3rd Period-Music
4th Period- Lunch
5th Period- Phys. Ed
6th Period- Art

   Simon also has my schedule, so after looking through, me and Simon stood up." Thank you for your help and we'll be going now." I said.

    We almost made it to the door when all of a sudden"Oh and you will be guided by one of our best students, his name is Sebastian Morgenstern." said Robert.

   I can't believe it, finding my brother will be a lot easier. I am finally gonna see him again! "yeah ok where do we meet him?" asked Simon, losing my train of thought.

  "He should be outside the office right now waiting for you guys."said Robert standing up and opening the door.

   "Thank you." I said with a little too much joy because Simon nudged me and I let out a cough.

   We left and Simon said,"Clary do you think he'll remember you cuz your older and he hasn't seen you since?". He did have a point but I sighed and said"Idk maybe , but it's still great to see him again."Simon just nodded and we went into the halls.

   We looked around the hall and saw a silver-haired boy, with very dark eyes talking to people around him. There was a girl, very tall and skinny, long black hair and lots of make-up, and next to her was a boy, very slim and had very sea blue eyes and shiny black hair. She didn't study them much until she saw the beautiful golden-haired boy, she saw his muscles and and upper toned body, his golden eyes that sparkled, and 'he is beautiful' I thought.

     I was in my train of thought until I hear a noise"Hey your Clary right?". I look up and see the golden haired boy smirking at me. From his look I could tell he's those boys who use you and leave, if he is, then he should be looking somewhere else?!
