Chapter 13- Surprise, Suprise

Clary's P.O.V

The school day was over and I had to come over to see Izzy. Why? I have no idea. I hop on my motorcycle and Jace got in his car. We said we'll meet there. After a few minutes I made it to the Lightwood's.

Jace was right behind me. He got out of his car and opened the door.

"Ladies first" said Jace. "Thank you" I said back. Then we hear people in the kitchen.

"Time to meet my parents." said Jace.

"Hey Jace who's your friend?" says Mr. Lightwood.

"This is my girlfriend, Clary Fairchild" said Jace.

"Your a Fairchild, your mother must be Jocelyn Fairchild. " says Mrs. Lightwood.

"Yes she is, were you two friends?" I asked. "Yes she was, we both worked for the clave in Idris. How is she?"

"She's doing great." I said and Izzy came in.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need Clary to come with me. Bye!" said Izzy and I was out of the room.

Jace's P.O.V

I'm glad they like Clary because normally they hated when I brought a girl home every other night. it was fine till Izzy came. She took Clary with her.

"Looks like you got some competition Jace." said Alec and laughed.

"Shut up Alec" I said. Then I went to my room to change for the surprise I have for Clary. She will love it.

Clary's P.O.V

" So why did you wanna see me?" I asked.

"I am gonna dress you up." said Izzy smiling.

"Dress up for what?" I asked. now I was getting scared.

"Just to make you look pretty." she said walking out the closet with a golden dress. She made me try it on and it looked great.

I liked it and Izzy did my hair. I was gonna go down the stairs I see Jace in a white dress shirt with black jeans. He also has flowers. I run back to Izzy's room.

"What's wrong Clary?" asked Izzy.

"Jace is downstairs and looks well dressed. I don't think this dress will do." I said panicking. Then Izzy goes in the closet and brings a beautiful green silk dress.

I try it on and it looks beautiful. It makes my eyes look even greener. It went up to my knees. It felt so smooth and it hugged my body perfectly. I put on some heels and leave. I mouth a thank you to Izzy and she says no problem.

I walk towards the stairs and there he is. Jace, looking great with his shirt and jeans. I walk down and Jace grabs my hands.

"You look beautiful Clary." he said looking at my dress.

"Do you like it?" I asked. Then he kisses my check then whispers in my ear, "I picked it out myself."

At that I start to blush. Then he takes me towards the car. "Where are we going?" I ask.

"You'll see." he said. 

I walked out the car but Jace put a blindfold on me. I wonder what he did. He was directing me where to go. Suddenly I stopped.

"You can open your eyes now." said Jace. I take off the blindfold slowly and I was shocked.

Jace was standing there with roses. Next to him was a table with a picnic. Then there was a picture, a picture of me. I was standing there smiling. I felt like crying.

"J Jace this is is amazing. Did you do this by your self?" I said getting near him.

"Yes" says Jace. At that I raise my brow.

"Ok no I didn't, all I planned was the picnic. I got help from Izzy and Magnus. Magnus did the painting." said Jace. I knew it.

"It's amazing no matter what." I said being nice. Jace takes my hand and walks me towards the table to the dinner. "Come on lets eat and then maybe other things." Jace said smirking.

We eat and laugh a little. The night was great and I enjoyed it. From the dress to the food to the paintings, it was great. We finished eating and went outside to lay in the grass. I lay my head on his chest.

"So did you like the surprise?" aired Jace.

"I sure did. How long did you plan this?" I asked because after everything.

"I was gonna sneak you there the day after you got kidnapped, but was delayed I guess. I thought that would win you over." he said and smiled.

"Well it did. Your my one and only." I said and we looked at the sky all night.
