Chapter 22- I can't believe it

"..Sebastian..." I get up and yell, "No! You're lying, you bastard! I didn't save you, just to hear your crap! What makes you think I'll believe you." I spat out. He didn't seem frightened, shocked, or much of a failure. His eyes rather seemed..sad.

"Can you at least let me explain?" he pleades. "You have 5 minutes." He smiles, "that's all I need.....

It all began when you left me. I was going crazy, but guess what..that wasn't me. I feel awful when I beat you or hurt you, but that wasn't me. A few days before that started I had gone missing remember?" I nod. "Well the first day I was gone, I had gone to this club and was dragged into this alleyway. I tried fighting my self out but blacked out.

I woke up in a dark room with my hands strapped down. I kept yelling and your brother appeared..."

Sebastian walks through the door cautiously. "I hope you were greeted well." Augustus spat at Sebastian. Sebastian grabs a choke hold on Augustus. "Ah ah ah, cooperate and everything will go fine."

"What do you want from me?" asked Augustus. Sebastian grabs a blackish blue liquid. " I just need you to drink.. this. Then you will be free." Augustus had not gotten a really good look at Sebastian until he reached closer.

"Wait a minute, your Sebastian....I should've known it was you. I can't believe Clary looks up to you?" At that Sebastian punches Augustus and he falls with a thud. "How do you know..my sisterrr!" His voice sounded foreign and full of anger.

"She doesn't just love you." Augustus smirks but takes it off when Sebastian shows a devilish smile only he can pull off. "Well then...that gives me more of a reason to make you drink this." Augustus backs away.

"What will it do to me?" "Well only just turn you into a soulless, heartless, ruthless person under my commands or your thoughts." Augustus' eyes grow wide and tries to push against the wall with his back, as if he'll fall through.

"I will never be..you" Sebastian puts a fake hurt face. "Ouch..that hurt right here." He hold his heart. "Oh please like you have one." Then I feel a syringe stab my neck.

I wither in pain. I yell my lungs out abd thrash around. "I'll let you out once you're ready." Then Sebastian leaves laughing.

A few days later, Augustus had had anger issues and kept yelling unnecessary language at the servants. Sebastian was enjoying his little friend and finally let him go back to his home to find Clary.

"...Then when I kidnapped you, I was there but I wasn't there. After you left me for dead, I ran into the woods to find your brother. He said he was controlling me so he could take you away. I broke free and fought him.

I kept going back and forth with myself so Sebastian almost killed me but when he hit me in the head was all I needed to be cured.

You're not safe Clary.Didn't you ever notice your brother missing? Haven't you seen his facial and emotional expressions or look? I ran away to find you and now I'm here." Augustus was panting as if he were reliving the moments past. I get up and pace taking it in. I was almost in tears but I wouldn't let Augustus see me like this.

"Of course she's not safe here. I will protect you Clary, with my life, no matter the consequences." I turn to see Jace standing there. I run to him and hug him tightly. "It's ok. I'm here love and I'm not gonna lose you again. You sure you alright Augustus?" Augustus nods and lies down.

Izzy's P.O.V

"That traitor! I can't believe he would do this. I am so sorry Clary." After hearing what Augustus had gone through, I wanna beat his face even though he's Clary's brother. Now I need to console my best friend/ soon to be sister.

"It's ok Iz. I didn't believe it either. I just don't know anymore." I pat Clary's back and she sighs. Speaking about sis, the wedding is in like in a month or so.

"Clary, you still up for it?" she puts a confused face. "Up for what?" "The wedding!" Clary was baffled. "I can't believe it, I had totally forgotten about the wedding with all this happening." "That really hurts Clary." I see Jace pouting and Clary walks up to him.

Clary's P.O.V

I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him. He grabs my waist but I let go. "How can I forget about the greatest thing that's ever gonna happen to me." He raises a brow, "Even more greater than marrying me?" I lightly hit his shoulder and he laughs.

"You guys can eat each other's faces off, but I'm gonna go find Alec to say goodbye and also Simon." Izzy walks away and I laugh.

"So..what are we gonna do?" I ask. "What do you mean?" "I mean about my brother." Jace hesitates, "I don't know much, but I know I will protect you with my life. Sebastian will not hurt you, I promise." He kisses my forehead and I hug him.
