Chapter 8- Feelings

Clary's P.O.V

"You monster, I should have finished you when I had the chance." I said through gritted teeth.

He walked up to me and cupped my face. "You can never get rid of me no matter what. So what's up with you being in the hospital?" he said dramatically walking back and forth.

"I got slammed into lockers" I said not wanting to give information on my family and friends. "Why do you care?" I asked blankly.

"Because after a while, you're gonna need a doctor" he grinned. I tried shaking myself out but no use. He came up to me and saw his fist, then nothing.

Jace's P.O.V

We were walking towards Simon house and I banged on the door for it to open. Sebastian gave me a look and I knock nicely. I stopped and waited when the door opened.

"Hey what a surprise, it's Jace. Hi Seb." Simon said. I guess he's pretty pissed off too. "What do you guys want?" he asked. I stepped up and asked if we could come in. We walked in and sat on the sofa.

"Can you tell me anything about Clary's past that I wasn't part of?" Sebastian asked.

"Not much. Why? Is Clary ok?" Simon asked. I think he knows something we don't. "Simon, what is it your not telling us?" I asked.

"Well when Clary was 17, she had met this guy. His name is Augustus Waters. She liked him so they went out, but sometimes Clary would come home painting or hurt. She would tell me that Augustus would hit her or abuse her. They still went out till one day she went out for coffee and he saw her talking to a friend of ours. Augustus came inside and started yelling at them. Clary tried to calm him down, but then decided to leave. He had caught up to her and dragged her towards an ally. He yelled at her and hit her when she grabbed something and hit him in the stomach and kneed him in the face. She had never heard from him since, but then he would taunt her every half a year or so. Once we moved here, she thought she could start over and live a new life in New York. Then you showed up." He said glaring at Jace." She didn't want to be with you because she is still scared on the inside, but I could tell she cares enough to let you try and convince her. Now that I told you this, Sebastian please don't get mad at me out Clary. She did it because she didn't want to worry you and I kept it because she trust me. Jace calm down and don't bring this up yup her. So what's up with this sudden interest you guys" Simon's vice had lowered more and more into the story. I can't believe this. Now I understand perfectly and I have a chance with Clary, but Simon doesn't know she's missing.

"Um Simon" I said and Sebastian has a face of worry. "Yeah" "Clary's missing" I said and Simon jumped up.

"We need to find her! Now or we'll be too late! Have you asked the hospital for security cameras or something." Simon eyes were full of panic. "No now we need to find out anything, let's go" Sebastian said with a bit of determination.
Clary's P.O.V

I wake up on the ground, but same room except the doors are closed. I look at myself and see my clothes all torn and full of blood stains. There is a mirror across the room and I lift my arms but yell instead. My body burns like a raging fire. My while body is beat up. I hope that Simon has done something to find me.

I drag myself over there and I am a mess. I bang on the door and he appears. "Finally you wake up" he says. "What do you mean?" I asked curious.
"You've been out for almost 2 days"
What how is this possible. Did he really hurt me that badly. No I feel Sven more pain that before. I scream and scream till my throat is dry. This is worst than heavenly fire. He just laughs at me.

"What's so funny?" I ask him vigorously.

"You struggle and in pain but not enough. You left me for dead and look I'm a walking ghost." He said and threw me a water bottle. I grab it but don't drink it. I put it on my arms and legs instead of drinking it, but then my skin feels like hell. I ignore it then drink some water. I swallow but immediately start coughing and trying to breathe.

"What " cough cough "did you " inhales "do to m me" Then I fall to the ground.

"I need you to sleep because we're gonna have some fun" he grinned.

Simon's P.O.V

We were all in the car. Me, Alec, Magnus, Izzy,Sebastian, and Jace. 'I knew he would come back, I knew it. It's my fault I should have protected her more.' I thought to myself.

"It's not your fault Simon. I know you did your best to be there for Clary. She trusts you and knows that we will find her. Okay?" Izzy said putting her hand closer to mine.

"Okay" I said. Izzy is so beautiful. I would ask her put but she goes for jocks and cool kids. Not guys who play D&D. I try to lean my hand and grab hers. She relaxes at my touch and doesn't try to move. I hope there's a bigger chance now.

"So there's no footage and the name Waters wasn't on the visiting list. How is that possible?" asked Alec glaring at us.

"Like I said, he would do whatever it takes to find Clary again. He had turned delusional because of Clary. He can't be too far from New York." I said whispering the end but Izzy gave me a worried look. "Alec can we go home? This is too much for me and its painful knowing my best friend could be beaten or hurt." Alec glanced at Jace and they took a turn.

Everyone got off and I was gonna walk home. I was out of their four when I see Izzy pulling my arm."Can you stay with me tonight please? I dint want to be alone." This is my chance.

"Okay but is your brother fine with me being here?" I asked bravely.

"Don't worry he should be in Jace's room with Sebastian and Jace taking about Clary and how to find her. " She wanted to cry and I pulled her into a hug. We walk into her room and she puts on shorts with a tank top. I keep my clothes on because I don't have anything here.

We sleep and Izzy is hugging my side. I just let her sleep. With all this happening, I could think how Jace and Seb feel about this. I feel bad because Sebastian would have wanted to be there for Clary. Jace is in love with Clary but he doesn't realize it. I still see how he cares for Clary so I'll cut him some slack. My chest all of a sudden starts hurting and I fall to onto the ground. I breathe for air but still screaming in pain. Then Izzy woke up and brought Alec, Jace, and Seb. They put me on the bed. I keep screaming in pain and it didn't physically hurt. "Clary"
