Chapter 20- Jealousy & A Mystery

Clary's P.O.V.  

I had fallen asleep in Jace's room and I was covered by his arms. Now I got up to go to my room. I didn't want to wake up Jace because he hasn't gotten much sleep either. I slowly tip toed to Izzy's room and she was still sleeping. I was close to be being unnoticed when

"I know where you were, no need to sneak in." it sounded muffled and I heard Izzy laugh. I sigh, "You don't need to know and get up its the first day of summer, what do you wanna do?" At that Izzy jumped out of bed. "Let's go shopping!" I laugh but nod. Izzy smiles and gets in the shower. I changed into blue skinny jeans, boots, tank top and jacket. I put my hair in a bun then went downstairs to get a snack. I got downstairs and saw Alec and Jace fighting in their seats. I laugh and Alec fell off his chair in surprise. Jace smirks, "Thanks Clary" then he winks. Alec gets up and smacks Jace in the back of the head then they were gonna start fighting again when Izzy came in. "Are you guys kidding me! Seriously, can't you guys eat breakfast in peace." Izzy looks at me with wide eyes, "They even fight for a chair." I laugh again, Izzy and me were heading towards the door when Jace stands next to me.

"Where you two going?" asked Jace. "Izzy wants to go shopping." I said and Jace fake pouts, "I wanted to go to the beach together." then he kisses me. "Seriously get a room. Come on Clary." says Izzy putting her hands on her hips. Jace let's go and we get In the car. "Seriously Izzy, it's not like I stop you mid way with Simon, do I?" I said moving my head making Izzy roll her eyes. "By the way, how's it going with you and Simon with the whole moving thing?" I asked wanting to know details. "It's ok. Simon and I are gonna start moving next week. I'm really excited." Izzy smiles and I'm happy for her because Simon is someone good for her.

After a few minutes we made it to the mall. We first went to the food court because we were hungry and didn't have breakfast. It was a good thing Jace or Simon didn't come because guys kept stealing glances at us. For once Izzy didn't flirt or wink at any. I didn't want much so I went to get a cappuccino from Coffee Bean. I was gonna pay when a guy comes up to me and pays the bill, when I look at the receipt it had his number. I smile but walk away when Izzy comes up to me laughing. "You are such a heart breaker Clary. Your catching on pretty quickly." She smiles and I laugh. We ate then headed for Aeropostal. I bought a few crop tops, short sleeves, sweaters, and jeans while Izzy almost bought one of everything in the store. I walked out with two bags and Izzy had six bags. it was almost sundown when we finished shopping. We had gone to Hot Topic, Forever 21, and Victoria's Secret.

I decided to drive and we went home. I had to carry all of the bags inside and there were plenty. I made it through the door to be greeted by a hug. "Finally, you get here. Why did it take you guys so long?" asked Jace. I sigh, "I know how you feel Clary, she would buy out all the stores if she could." said Alec sitting on the sofa. I laugh and Izzy glares at Alec and sticks out her tongue.

I look at Jace, "Children" He laughs. It was late and I was tired, so I went to the guest room to sleep. I entered and it was already full of my stuff. I remember when I kept coming over a lot, mom decided I should bring some stuff over and the Lightwoods were ok with it. I put down my bags and take off my sweater. I change into sweats and a tank top. I was gonna lay down when Jace came in.

"You know, fiance means that you sleep with me, not in another room where I can't be with you." I laugh and he smiles. I pat the other side of the bed and Jace was coming over when he stops and picks up my coffee receipt. "What's this?" he asks and I realize it had that guys number on it. I get up and grab the receipt. "It's fine Jace don't worry. You can even ask Izzy, I ignored that guy." I said reassuring him but he was still tense. "Don't tell me.....your jealous?" I laugh and he rolls his eyes then walks towards the window. "Jace Herondale.....does not....get.....jealous." Now I could tell he was getting mad. I walk up behind him and look him in the eye. Then I lean in for a kiss. Jace relaxes his shoulders and grabs my waist. I let go for air, "It's ok if your jealous, but remember I will never leave you....I love you, Jace Herondale." I finish and Jace had calmed down but I could tell he didn't like the idea of other guys flirting with me. I go to sleep and Jace was there with me. I kiss him on the cheek, then go to sleep.

    

   It's cold outside. New York looks a lot different than before. Where am I? I realize that I'm looking at Alicante because I remember being here with my mom when she was with the clave. I look around and see the Lightwood's. I try to wave at them but they can't see me. They look towards Broceline plain and I turn to see Sebastian standing there, he had very pitch black eyes and had a bracelet. He laughs and Jace looks mad but broken. I want to run up to him but they can't see me. Izzy was gasping for air and Simon was furious, I look up to see Sebastian holding me by the arm and I look scared and sad. I gasp. 'What's going on?!' I then see dark clouds and rain. That's when Jace, Simon, and Alec run towards Sebastian with swords and blades. They fight but they had no chance of winning. Then I see myself fall on the ground. Everything was blurry....

I gasp. I look around and I'm in my room. I relax but couldn't go back to sleep. I look at Jace and I don't think he noticed I got up. I decided to go out for a walk. I put on jeans and a sweater and boots then head out the door.

I walked through Brooklyn and made it to Central Park. It was cold and I kept shivering. Then I felt a cold rush of air. I turn around and jump because I didn't realize Simon was right behind me. "Jesus Simon! You scared me...what are you doing out here?" Simon laughs, "Oh you know, I was just taking a stroll around my soon top be old neighborhood." At that I laugh. "Where you following me Simon?" he coughs, "No I wasn't....maybe.....kinda...a little...ok yeah I was." Then we continue to walk when we hear rustling sounds from the trees. Simon was seeing something that I couldn't. We started walking towards it when

"Hey hey hey.....wait wait wait wait....it's me.....Augustus..help" then he falls. At first I was scared and Simon was about to attack. How, why, and what is going on?
