Sky's POV
Ben and I had been sitting for hours waiting to know what was going to happen to us.
"Sky, do you think they'll let us go?" Ben asked.
"I don't know, but I hope they do," I replied. Then the man came up to us with the lady and Quinn close behind him.
"Well, today is a very lucky day for you. You get to go home," he said. He grabbed Ben and pulled him away. The lady stood over me with a creepy smile on her face. Quinn looked scared. I wanted to run away and take her with me, but something in me kept me from running.
"Where did he take Ben?" I asked. I was scared for Ben's safety. I wanted to know if he was really going home or if that man was going to kill him.
"Don't worry, Sky. He's going back to Broadway," the lady said.
"Why can't I go with him?" I asked.
"Oh don't worry, you will join him tomorrow."
"Why are you doing this? You have what you wanted. So please let me go," I said. I got ambitious again and stood up. The lady came closer and I turned and ran. This time I successfully got away. But I felt bad for leaving Quinn alone with her.Ben's POV
I stood in my dressing room, hugging Kara, and shocked that Quinn was staying with them.
"Everything will be okay, Ben. Don't worry about it," Kara said.
"I can't. She's not coming back and she could be dead by now," I said. I could feel the hot tears streaming down my face.
"Come on, let's sit down," Kara said. She pulled me to a chair and sat me down. I buried my face in my hands and continued to cry.
"Hey, this means Ben and Sky will come back, right?" Tommy asked.
"What's th-that supposed to mean?" I asked without looking up.
"Well, whoever took them clearly has what they want, so now they have to let them go," Tommy said. I looked up at him in disbelief.
"Look, I don't think they'd leave Quinn with those whackjobs," I said. I figured they wouldn't. They were always trying to get her to talk to them whenever they could. So I had some confidence that they would come back with her.Quinn's POV
I chased after Sky before the lady knew I was gone. I had gotten Ben Cook's phone from her and wanted to give it to Sky. I knew he'd be able to use it to help himself.
As I walked through the theatre, I looked for his red hair. When I did find him, he was trying get a door open.
"Sky," I said. I was still quiet, but I was mustering the courage to speak louder. Then I remembered a lyric from Seize the Day. "Sky!" I said louder than I've ever said anything before. He turned and looked at me.
"Quinn, what are you doing?" he asked.
"You'll need this," I said. I held Ben's phone out to him. He came over to me and took the phone.
"You should come with me. I won't let you stay here with these people," he said.
"I can't. They'll find me no matter what," I said as I shook my head.
"If they're in jail you can do anything, go anywhere. You just have to come with me."
"What if they break out and find me?"
"When they go jail, we can get your name changed so they won't be able to find you," Sky said. He was dead set on me going with them. Then we heard footsteps come towards us. Sky and I pushed on the door and it flew open. Sky then grabbed my hand and we ran as far away as we could.
When we got far enough away, Sky pulled out Ben's phone and called the police.
"Quinn, the police will be here in a few minutes. I'm going to call Ben. I think you'd like to see him," Sky said after he got off the phone with the police. I nodded and he dialed Ben's number.Ben Cook's POV
The man pulled me to the back of the rundown theatre and brought me to the van he kidnapped Sky and I in. He pushed me in and I smacked my head against something. I could feel blood trickle down the side of my face. The man slammed the door shut and soon the van was bouncing along the road for an hour or so.
When the van finally stopped, the man didn't even let me out. I was left in the dark and I hated it. I spent what felt like hours in the dark before someone opened the door. Light flooded in and I closed my eyes because of the bright sun. I felt someone grab me and, without thinking, I kicked them. I opened my eyes to see a cop holding the place where I kicked him. Then two other cops came into the van. I tried to get up, but one of the cops picked me up and carried me out of the van where a stretcher was waiting.
"Wh-where are you taking me?" I asked. I was scared that they'd take me back to the abandoned theatre.
"Don't worry, we're taking you to the hospital," someone said.
"Wait, I can't leave Sky," I said.
"There's no one else in the van," the person said.
"But we need to go get him."
"No, we need to get you to a hospital. And you need to stop talking," the person said. Then the stretcher was suddenly lifted and I gripped the sides tightly. Then the stretcher stopped moving and I started to relax a bit, only to then feel like I was shooting through something.
"Try to relax," the person said. "Take deep breaths." I wish I could've, but I passed out.
When I woke up, I was in a room that looked like a hospital room. Before I could process much, Jeremy and Tommy came into the room.
"Ben, are you okay?" Jeremy asked, slightly rushed.
"Where's Sky?" I asked a little slowly.
"He's fine. And you are too. The doctors said that you have no major injuries, but they did say that due to what happened, you might not want to come back to the theatre," Jeremy said.
"Oh wow. That's good, I mean getting beaten hurt like hell, but I'm glad there are no major injuries. Wait, Quinn is still there," I said. I started to get a little worked up about it and a nurse came in.
"I think you two should go now," she said.
"What's wrong?" Tommy asked.
"The doctors don't want him to worry too much if at all," the nurse said.
"Ben, Quinn is alright. She's with Sky," Jeremy said. "They got away."
"Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yeah, Ben and Andrew went to see them about an hour ago," Jeremy said. I started calm down. Knowing that Quinn and Sky were alright was all I needed. I was glad they got away.
