Always on the hunt for a little more time

When we left, it was almost midnight. Outside, everything felt dark, and the glowing neon sign was the only source of light. But that was good, because it felt like an adventure.

To get revenge.

The only other store opened sold eggs and toilet paper.

I had ten dollars. But it felt like a million.

And I was bringing Camila and Maddie with me.

We loaded google maps and drove off, don't drink and drive, a woman shrieked at us, but the radio blasted a song and our laughter pierced through the silence, drowning her words out.

Her house was ten minutes but it felt like a second, and my legs were bouncing up and down and up to the music, balancing the carton of eggs, while Maddie wrapped the cheap paper around the leather seats.

Camila's hair whipped in the wind, darker than a crow or the night, and Maddie's crimson lips spelled for blood.

Someone was going down tonight.

Just another LA devotee
