"Broken"

Sixteen

Alexa's POV:

I stood by a table in the cafeteria, looking at my phone while I was waiting for Shawn to come up.

I heard someone walk up behind me, and I felt their hot breaths on my ear as they began to whisper. The voice I heard was one that was all too familiar.

Damien: "hey Lexi, or should I say sexy" he whispered, causing me turn around to face him

I got a sour taste in my mouth as he bit his lip while smiling, looking me up and down  with his dark devilish eyes.

Alexa: "how about you say goodbye" I said before attempting to walk away.

He grabbed my wrist, preventing me from leaving. His grasp was so tight, that no matter how much a tried, I couldn't break free.

Damien: "cmon baby, don't play hard to get" he said chucking, inching closer to me

Alexa: "don't call me that. What do you even want Damien?" I said annoyed

Damien: "you baby, it's always been you. Now lemme see those scars" he said, smiling while crouching down in front of me, attempting to pull my shirt up

Alexa: "No!" I said backing away, but his tight grip pulled me back

Damien: "cmon baby, just one peak"

Alexa: "get away from me!"

He tightened his grip, and kept trying to pull my shirt up. As I was struggling to release myself from his grasp, from the corner of my eye I saw a tall guy with dark brown curly hair running towards me. He punched Damien in the face, causing him to fall to the ground before grabbing my hand and running. I followed his pace until we were back inside, and he led me into an empty classroom.

Shawn: "are you alright Alexa?"

Alexa: "y-yeah I'm fine" I stammered "thank you"

He just smiled at me sympathetically and pulled me in for a hug.

It was a Friday afternoon, so after school ended, Shawn and I went over to his place.

The second we walked through his front door, we raced to the couch, tripping over each other while doing so.

Alexa: "ha! I got it first!" I laughed while holding up the tv remote

Shawn: "fine" he said while rolling his eyes "what are we watching?"

This is what makes mine and Shawn's relationship so special. We love each other, but we are also like family. He is literally my best friend, and the fact that we went through something so life altering together, just brought us that much closer.

I flipped through the channels until something caught my eye

Alexa: "oh my god!!!"

Shawn's POV:

Shawn: "what?"

Alexa: "Freeform is having a Harry Potter marathon!!" She squealed as her eyes lit up

I stared at her in awe

Alexa: "what?" She asked, confused

Shawn: "I really want to kiss you right now"
