Twenty Nine

Alexa's POV:

I was getting ready to meet Shawn and his family for dinner tonight to celebrate the single's success. After much contemplation, I decided on wearing my black denim skirt with my white lace top. I slipped on my black booties, and drove to the restaurant.

Just as I was parking my car, I could see Manny, Karen, Shawn, and Aaliyah walking into the food joint. I quickly got out of my car and ran to meet up with them.

We ate our food, and even got a cake for dessert to celebrate Shawn's success. I was so proud of him, all I wanted to do was cry. He has been working so hard, and it's really starting to pay off.

After dinner, I kissed Shawn goodbye and wished his family a good night. Shawn and I made plans to grab breakfast in the morning, so it wouldn't be too long until I would see him again.

The next morning, I got up at around 9, got ready, and left the house at 9:30, so I could meet him by 10. I was wearing a floral sundress that was off the shoulders and went to my mid thigh. I did some natural makeup, keeping it simple with some foundation, mascara, lip gloss, and a light pink eyeshadow.

When I got there I could see him already sitting at a booth on his phone. I walked in and joined him. He kissed me as I sat down, and took a look at the menu.

Shawn: "hey, I called you, did you get here okay?"

Alexa: "you did?" I asked, reaching into my purse, realizing I had left my phone at home.

Shawn: "yeah...it's not a big deal, I just wanted to make sure you weren't lost" he said laughing "we both know you are pretty good at finding yourself lost in the middle of nowhere" he added, laughing harder.

Alexa: "that's not true!" I snapped with a slight chuckle "I happen to have a very good sense of direction, thank you very much" I said with my head held high.

Shawn: "yeah, whatever you say" he said, rolling his eyes "just remember that time I asked you to meet me at Starbucks, and you ended up lost with no gas two hours away. I had to drive all the way there to come pick you up" he said laughing

Alexa: "that could happen to anyone"

Shawn: "no, it really can't" he said laughing. I joined the laughter until our waiter came and took our orders.

Shawn got pancakes and a muffin, I got waffles, and we both got some tea to go with it.

I took the first bite out of my waffle when Shawn began to speak.

Shawn: "hey, can you come over tonight?"

Alexa: "sure, but why?"

Shawn: "no reason, just for fun" he said with a smirk.

Alexa: "okay" I answered, tilting my head.

Towards the end of our meal, Shawn got up to go to the bathroom.

Shawn: "I'll be right back" he said

Alexa: "can I use your phone while your gone? I forgot mine, and I want to make sure my mom isn't looking for me. She was asleep when I left" I said.

Shawn: "sure thing" he said, handing me his phone before walking away.

I put in his password and called my mom. We talked for about a minute. I just told her where I was and when I would be back. After I hung up the phone, I was about to turn it off when Shawn got an incoming call from Damien.

Why was Damien calling Shawn? I wasn't about to pick up my boyfriend's phone, so I just let it ring out because Shawn still wasn't back yet. After the phone stopped ringing, Damien texted Shawn. Man, he is really persistent. I was confused as to why Damien was even in communication with Shawn.

When his phone got the text notification, I couldn't help but read it, and I was instantly confused.

I know I probably shouldn't have, but I tapped on it and started reading what he was saying. I wasn't expecting anything, because this wouldn't be the first time Damien texted someone bullshit while he was high, but to my surprise I saw an entire conversation that spanned over the course of the past few days.

3 days ago:

Damien: have you fucked her yet?

Who were they talking about?

Shawn: why the hell do you care?!

Damien: so you haven't

Shawn: go fuck yourself you dick

Damien: geez man, just trying to be friendly.

Shawn: try harder

Damien: whatever. I'm surprised you haven't though. Have you seen that ass?

Shawn: shut up Damien

Damien: no I'm serious. The size of her ass is literally the only reason I got with Alexa in the first place.

Wait. They were talking about me...

Shawn: and the size of your ego is the reason she left you.

It felt good knowing Shawn was sticking up for me. I know I probably shouldn't have, but I couldn't stop reading.

Damien: harsh

Shawn: why the hell are you even texting me?

Damien: because I want to make sure you remember the terms of our agreement

What agreement?

Shawn: I remember.

Today:

Damien: I changed my mind. Do it tonight, or you know what happens.

Shawn: fine.

Damien: good boy. Just get her drunk and bring her to me. She knows she wants me, she just needs a little help realizing it.

That was where the messages ended. I turned off the phone, and rubbed my head. No, this can't be happening. My head was pounding, and I could feel myself about to cry. Shawn was going to get me drunk and leave me with Damien? After everything he did? Is this why he asked me to come over tonight?

I looked up to see Shawn walking back from the bathroom.
