Twenty One

Shawn's POV:

We were in the car for about ten minutes until Alexa parked it by a curb. It was dark out, and the only source of light was the stars. When I squinted my eyes, I was able to make out a grass field...where were we?

Alexa: "cmon get out" she said, as she opened her own seatbelt and got out of the car. I followed, still confused as to what was going on.

Shawn: "um? Where are we?"

Alexa: "the park"

Shawn: "yeah, I kinda got that, but why?" I said chuckling

She smirked.

Alexa: "give me your phone"

I took my phone out of my pocket and handed it to her. I saw her go on Spotify, then press shuffle on a playlist. A slow song started playing, and she held her hand out to me.

Alexa: "will you dance with me?"

I smiled and took her hand. She placed her hands on my shoulders, and I moved mine to her waist. We slow danced for a while. She came in closer and rested her head on my chest as we continued swaying to the music. We didn't say a word because there wasn't a word that needed to be said.

Suddenly this warm tingly feeling came over me and my entire body. I could feel my face light up. What was this feeling? Happiness. Pure happiness and love, with no strings attached. I looked down at Alexa and positioned her head so that it was facing me. I cupped her face with my hands, and looked into her eyes. Her beautiful green eyes. Her long auburn hair swaying in the wind. She was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Her entire face was lit up by the stars above. She smiled before I leaned in and kissed her.

We were laying under the stars in silence for a little while until she spoke.

Alexa: "what do those ones look like?" She asked, pointing at a clump of stars directly above us.

Shawn: "tractor"

Alexa: "what?"

Shawn: "c'mon don't tell me you don't see how that is a tractor. Those are the wheels, there's the roof..."

Alexa: "are you serious? That is so obviously a pineapple!"

Shawn: "a pineapple! Woman, are you mad?!"

Alexa: "no, but I'm cold, let's get out of here" she said, starting to get up.

I followed her to the car, and we drove back to my house. When we got there, it was 12am, so we hurried inside. Alexa decided to stay the night because she didn't have her house key, and she didn't want to wake up her mother who was undoubtedly already asleep.

We went back up to my room and knocked out the second our heads hit our pillows.

Alexa's POV:

I squinted my eyes as the sun beamed through the window the next morning. I sat up and rubbed my eyes before examining my surroundings. I noticed that Shawn was gone where did he go? I got out of bed and headed downstairs. I could hear him playing guitar in the living room, so I quietly tiptoed into the room so he wouldn't hear me come in.

He was strumming the strings on his guitar, then he began to sing.

He sang:

He stopped singing and leaned over to write something in a notebook.

Alexa: "Shawn..." I spoke softly

he jumped up, clearly not expecting to see me standing there.

Shawn: "sorry, did I wake you?"

Alexa: "no, no you didn't, but that was beautiful..."

Shawn: "you liked it?" He blushed a little

Alexa: "yes! Can you play me the rest?"

Shawn: "sure" he said, signaling for me to come over.
