Before Ending

Diya's POV

" Main apki help kerdoon, kuch?" (Should help you a bit?) I asked maasi. She was making dinner.

" Nahi beta. Thik hai." (No dear. It's ok) she said.

" Chaliye help ker deti hoon." (Come on let me help you.) I said.

" Thik hai. Chalo." (Ok, then) she said.

" Kya karon main?" (What should I do?) I asked her wearing the kitchen apron.

" Hmm, you can chop the vegetables." She said and I nodded. I took the knife and started to chop them. " Kya tum saach mai kaal Shagun sai baat karogi?" (Will you talk to Shagun tomorrow for real?) She asked me suddenly.

" Of course, maasi." I said. She sighed.

" Mujhe paata hai tum kitni ziddi ho. Isiliye mana nahi ker rahi hoon. Buss uske sath ziyaada baat na karo. Woh achhi aurat to hai nahi uski influence bhi thik nahi hai. She can harm you anyhow." (I know how stubborn you are. This is why not stopping you. Just don't talk to her much. She is a bad and her influence is worse.) Maasi said.

" Relax, maasi main uske sath kuch karne thodi na ja rahi hoon. Buss baat ker rahi hoon." (Relax, maasi. I am not going to do anything with her. Just talking) I said. She sighed.

" Abhi Ari kaha hai? Abhi tak ayi kyun nahi?" (Now where is Ari? Why haven't she come back by now?) Maasi asked and I sighed looking at the clock. It was 8 in the evening.

" Ajayegi, maasi." (She will come, aunty.) I ensured her.

" Iss bachhi ko Maine kitni baar bole ki 6 baje k baad straight gher wapas aane ko. Meri baat shunti hi nahi." (How many times did I tell this kid to come straight back to home after 6 but she doesn't listen to me at all.) Maasi said.

" Ajayegi na, maasi. Dosto k sath hi to hai. Kuch nahi hoga." (She will be back, maasi. She is with her friends only. Nothing will happen.) I said.

" Koun dost?" (Which friends?) She asked.

" Juliet, Gabrielle, Heidi, Jordana, Whitney, Asher and Ardeyn." I said and she nodded mindlessly.

" Maasi, bohot bhok laga hai." I saw Rudra coming down. (Maasi, I am hungry as hell)

" Rahul kaha hai?" (Where is Rahul?) I asked him.

" Abhi taak so rahe hai, aalsee hai na. Saab log Rudra Goenka k tarah active thori na hotay!!"
(Still sleeping. Such a lazy!! Not everyone active like Rudra Goenka.) Rudra said and we laughed at his gesture.

" Jao jaake usko jagao aur bolo dinner is almost ready to serve." (Go wake him up and tell him that dinner is almost ready to serve) maasi said.

" Ja raha hoon. Ja raha hoon." (Going going) he said.

" Mai table set Kerti Hoon." (I am setting the table) I said and went to set the table. Suddenly the bell rang.

" Shayad Chhoti hai. Main dekh rahi hoon." (May be Chhoti is there. I am checking it.) I said and maasi nodded. Removed the apron and walked out of the dining hall. I opened the door and get shocked.

" You?!!" I asked him weirdly.

" Yes, Babe. Me. Who else were you expecting?" Noel asked smilingly.

" Chhoti. She went out with her friends." I said and he chuckled.

" Why are you here now?" I asked him suspiciously.

" Can't I come to see my girlfriend?" He asked me smiling again. I sighed.

" You can but you left me home just an hour back." I said.

" Yeah, I know but still I wanted to see you again." He said and I narrowed my eyes at him.

" Why so sweet suddenly?" I asked him suspiciously.

" Babe, I am always sweet." He said.

" Yeah, right." I said and rolled my eyes.

" Don't roll your eyes, Babe." He said smirkingly.

" What are you doing here, Noel?" I asked him again. He laughed.

" You have forgotten this in car." He gave me my wallet. I sighed. When have I dropped it there? May be while I was taking a note that he said to me to take while he was talking on phone.

" Oh, thank you." I said.

" You're welcome, Babe." He said.

" Come inside. Have a dinner with us?" I invited him in.

" Thanks, Babe. But I am afraid that I might not be able to come in. Have to go back home right now. My mom is waiting for me to go back." He said to me and I nodded.

" Ok then." I said and he nodded.

" Going. Bye." He said and waved at me. I waved back and he walked away. I closed the door and came to the dining hall. I was setting the table but suddenly the doorbell rang again. I went to answer it and found Noel standing there again. I sighed.

" What happened now?" I asked him and he smiled.

" This time I have forgotten something." He said and I looked at him weirdly.

" What have you forgotten?" I asked him.

" You want to know?" He asked bending on me.

" What is that?" I asked him.

" This." He said and the next moment I felt his lips on mine. I was shocked for a moment but then hold back. I sighed inwardly. He moved back and smirked at me.

" You forget this?" I asked him.

" Yeah. And this." He pressed his lips on my forehead. I smiled a bit. " Bye, Babe. Good night." He said and walked away. I sighed and closed the door. I again started to set the table and again the doorbell rang. I rolled my eyes and went to open it.

" What's now, Noel?" I asked as soon as I opened the door but I saw Chhoti and Asher standing there confusedly. They looked at each other then looked at me. I felt embarrassed. I was stupid for saying that without checking who it is at the door. I sighed.

" Dee, what's wrong?" Chhoti asked.

" Are you alright, Diya?" Asher asked me.

" Yeah, I am fine. Come inside." I said and moved a bit to let them in. " Where is Ardeyn?" I asked them.

" He went to leave the girls." Asher said and I nodded.

" Dinner?" I asked and both of them nodded.

" Go get a bit freshen up. The dinner is going to be served soon." I said and they nodded.

" Good evening, Ms. Roy." Asher greeted maasi and she smiled.

" Good evening, dear. Where is your cousin Ardeyn?" Maasi also asked about him. Definitely Ardeyn is very charming and can win people's heart very easily. But what's wrong with Juliet then!!! Why isn't he able to take her heart then!!! Anything wrong!!! I need to know this before ending.
