Diya Goenka is 21, a normal fun loving, polite but very stubborn Indian girl. She is eldest of three siblings. She is a student of architecture and recently completed her degree, she has come to UK for her further studies and to doing the job declar...
" Hum kaha ja rahe hai?" (Where are we going?) Divya asked me as soon as I got in the car and sat beside her.
" Picture dekhne ja rahe hai." (Going to watch a movie) I said.
" Sachhhhhh?!!" (Really?) She asked me.
" Haan na." (Yeah really.) I said.
" Sanju?" She asked me. I rolled my eyes.
" Haat na." (Move away) Chhoti said to Divya and sat beside her.
" Tujhe Kya hua abhi?" (What happened with you now?) Divya asked Chhoti. Her mood was off. I don't know why. Since last night she is terribly upset.
" Kuch bhi nahi hua, Akka. Chill."(Nothing happened, Akka) Chhoti said to Divya.
[Akka is another addressing word for elder sister]
" You called me 'Akka'!!! Then definitely something wrong, Chhoti." Divya said. Actually, Divya was brought up in South India. She is more comfortable with those terms. So, Chhoti occasionally calls her Akka. When she is so happy and when she is so sad. She is not so happy now can read her expression.
" Mujhe Kya hoga?! Kuch nahi hua." (What will happen to me?! Nothing happened.) She said.
" But Chhoti, tumne -" (But, Chhoti, you-) Divya was saying but I stopped her holding her hand and shook my head. She nodded.
" Thik hai, Chhoti." (Alright, Chhoti.) I said. I will talk to her later.
" Asher ne mujhe friendship day ki wish nahi kia." (Asher didn't wish me for friendship day) Chhoti said suddenly. Oh!!! This why?!
" Koun Asher?" (Who Asher?) Divya said.
" Asher Chhoti ka dost, usdin party mai mile thay na." (Asher is Chhoti's friend. Meet in the party that day.) I said.
" Oh, haan yaad aya." (Oh, yeah I remember.) She said.
" To Kya hua, Chhoti. Relax." (So what, Chhoti!!! Relax.) Divya said. I elbowed her and glared. How can I explain this girl that it's a big deal!!! " Accha, it's a big deal. How dare he not wish you!!! Give me his number. I will teach him a lesson." Divya said and I face palmed. I sometimes struggle to believe that despite of having a stupid sense of humor she has a brilliant brain too.
" Maine already try kia unreachable dikha rahi hai." (I have tried already it's unreachable) Chhoti said.
" Ardeyn ko call karo. Usko to jaroor paata hogi Asher kaha hai." (Call Ardeyn. He must know where Asher is.) I said.
" Kia." (I called him) she said.
" Kya bola usne?" (What has he said?) I asked her.
" Phone uthaye to na? Switched off hai." (He has to pick up the phone first. His phone is switched off.) She said and I nodded.
" Koyi baat nahi. They are coming in 2 days to attend the wedding." (No problem) I said. She shook her head.
" Shayad mujhe dost hi nahi manta apni." (Maybe he doesn't consider me as a friend.) She said sadly.
" Aisa maat socho, Chhoti. Abhi bhi poora din hai. Aur wese bhi England 4 ghantay pichhe hai India sai. (Don't put it like that, Chhoti. You still have the whole day. And England is 4 hours behind than India.)" Divya said.
" 4 hours and 30 minutes to be exact." I said. Chhoti nodded.
" Exactly." Divya said and Chhoti nodded again.
" Aap bohot pyaari lag rahi ho aaj, Dee." (You are looking beautiful today, Dee.) Chhoti said.
It was NAANDI GANESH PUJA today. I was wearing a traditional Indian saree. It was a Navy blue saree with golden work on it.

" Thank you, Chhoti." I said.
She nodded and leaned on the window looking outside. My sad princess!!! She is upset with her prince. I am going to talk to Asher. He didn't do it right.
" Hum kaha ja rahe hai, Diya?" (Where are we going, Diya?) Divya asked me.
" Mandir ja rahe hai, buddho." (Going to the temple, stupid) I said to her.
" Kyun?" (Why?) She asked me.
" NAANDI GANESH PUJA hai aaj." (It's NAANDI GANESH PUJA TODAY) I said.
" Oh, main to bhool hi gyi thi." (Oh, I forgot) she said to me and gestured at Chhoti. I nodded.
" Chhoti, hum soch rahe thay aaj hum panipuri khane jayenge. Tum - " (Chhoti, we were thinking we will go to have some panipuri today. Will you -) I couldn't complete as she started to talk.
" Include me." She said and I sighed. I decided to talk to her later.
It was NAANDI GANESH PUJA today. It's an important part of wedding too. It's arrange to invoke the precious presence and grace of Lord Ganesh. So that the wedding ceremony completes without any problems or any destruction. After that lunch was arranged.
So, today it was arranged. All of my family and in laws to be were there. Only we 3 are left to go there. I didn't want to be late today. But was already late.
" Drive fast, Rick." I told him.
" There is a big traffic jam." He said and I sighed. We should have gone earlier.
After some time which seemed to be an era we reached the temple. We got out immeditely. We entered the temple and everyone was waiting for us. I got a good scolding from my mom for being late in this important ceremony. I know it was stupidest thing but what can I do!!! You know the traffic of Delhi. You can't hold me the responsible here. It's not my fault. Is it!!! But yeah, I should have come earlier. It was my fault. I agree.
I met my in laws. They were there already before me. Embarrassing. Suddenly I felt someone was pulling the drapes of my saree. I looked down and found the cutie pies. Leonore and Chase. Aww they were looking so cute in the Indian traditional dresses which we sent for them. I knelt in front of them.
" Hi, Princess Nora doll." I said pinching softly on her neck. She giggled and kissed on my cheek. I hugged her. I saw Chase standing there with his pouty puppy face with twinkling eyes. Oh, my God!!! Why these kids are so cute!! Do they want to kill me with their cuteness?!!
" Hi, candy floss!!" I said to Chase he just hugged me wrapping his little arms around my neck. Awww!!! How cute. I kissed his head and he giggled. I smiled widely. Kids are happiness. There cute acts light up our life. The two we got here are obviously the cutest kids I have ever seen. Cuteness overloaded.
