Punishment

Noel's POV

When I saw her there I felt my whole body froze and I was not able to move. But soon I hold back myself. It's a bit disappointed me that she is not punctual in her works. She should follow rules. I won't bother any late comer, even if it's her I won't.

I was going to ask her the reason for her coming late first and if she failed to show any valid reason I am going to fire her at once.

I know I was dying for her from last 3 days. I searched for her crazily that doesn't mean that she can break rules. Rules should be followed at any cost. I sighed big time.

I ask her to follow me. I was going to teach her how to follow rules perfectly. I went to my cabin and she was following me. I sat in my chair and told her to take a seat. I tried to calm down myself. I wasn't able to control my anger and frustration both. But I was feeling so happy that I got her.

" So, Ms. Goenka, this is the way to behave at first day of your office? " I asked really in a cold tone. I saw she flinched a bit and looking at me with scared eyes.

Shit!!! Stop scaring her, Noel. Can't you speak softly at least with her!!! I asked myself and I just closed my eyes to control myself. I can't get angry with her. I just can't. I opened my eyes and saw her sitting looking down and I cleared my throat to get back her attention. She at once looked at me. I cursed myself a lot seeing her wet eyes. She was trying hard not to cry.

" Well, Ms. Goenka, care to explain? " I said in a normal tone.

" Sir, actually...." She stopped.

" Speak up. " I said.

" Sir, I am living here with my aunt and last night we needed to shift our place so, I didn't get a proper sleep. I got late. I know it was my fault totally. I shouldn't be late on my first day at work. But it happened, I tried to reach here on time but I missed last bus, I couldn't find any other vehicles. Then Mrs. Axton helped me to reach here. I am extremely sorry, sir. But I don't have any to say if you fire me." She said and looked down. I was a bit shocked, I didn't thought she will answer like this.

" Well, Ms. Goenka.... " I was interrupted by a knock on the door and the next second my mom entered in my cabin and she was fuming. God!!! What happened to her!!! Noel boy you are in danger now, what have you done to make her angry?! Try to remember.

You may think my mom is sweetest woman ever, yeah you are right. She is most charming person ever. She is very calm and quiet but when she gets angry, hell arise at once. Even my dad is scared of her rage. And now she is angry with me. I was looking at her in horror.

As she reached near me, I stood up at once.

" Mom?!" I told.

" Noel Axton!!! What are you doing?! Why are you firing her?! I told texted you that she is with me, haven't you checked your message? You dare to fire her, I will not spare you, got it???" She almost yelled. Well, mom I didn't do anything. God!!!

" At first mom, calm down. Sit here" I make her sit on the couch and gave her a glass of water.

I saw her, she was standing at her place now and looking at us curiously. I sighed.

" Diya?" My mom called her.

" Yes, ma'am. " she took a step ahead.

" Don't worry, I choose you and no one, I repeat no one can fire you but me. Not even Ryan, not even this idiot boy." Mom said and I saw her hiding her smile. God!!! This girl!!!

" By the way, mom. I wasn't firing her. I was just asking her the reason of her being late. That's it and yes, I won't fire her. Since you appointed her, only you can fire her. But please, don't get on fire. I love my mom like she is. Sweet lady." I said and kissed her cheek. Then she smiled.

" OK, OK, don't copy your dad. Don't try to melt me with your sugary talks. It won't work." She said smilingly.

That's why I love my mom. She gets angry barely and she calm down too fast. The most important reason is she loves us very much. I am lucky to have her as my mother. She is just an ideal daughter, sister, wife and mother.

" But mom, she is late and rule is rule. She is an apprentice, so she needs to learn from the starting. The first thing you need to be successful even before talent is to the discipline. She needs to know that punctuality is the first thing she has to learn. I don't allow let comer. Never I do." I said and stood just in front of her.

She was looking at me with tensed face. I wasn't understanding how to pull myself back from her spell. I walked pass her. Then I just took a deep breath to calm myself down.

" So, I decided that she has to take punishment for her coming late on first day of office. " I said.

" But Noel, she is late for me. You should consider." Mom said.

" I consider only for you mom. But she has to do it." I said.

" It's OK, ma'am. Yes, Sir I am ready to do anything for saving my job. It's important for me. I said I will never repeat this mistake again. Still I am ready to take my punishment. " she said looking at me smilingly.

" OK, Noel now spill everything. " mom said in a annoyed tone.

" OK, mom. Let's go and announce that in front of everyone. " I said and called my PA. " Conference room in 10." I said and we reached the conference room. I saw people are already there.

I entered and told everyone to sit down. I took my seat and then I started.

" I know it's weird that you all get sudden call but it's urgent. The fact is you all are involved with this. You all know I don't allow late comer and today Ms. Goenka came late. But as my mom choose her I can't fire her. But one thing I can do to her is let her realize her mistake with a punishment. " I paused and saw everyone's expressions. I felt other apprentices were smirking at Diya but she was all calm and looking at me with an unreadable expression.

" From tomorrow next 7 days you guys don't have to do anything. She will take care of you works. She will do everything you all should do as a group." I said and I saw everyone smirking at her. I just wanted to wipe their smirk. How dare they!!!!

" It's OK, sir. I will do this. " she said in a calm tone.

" You all can go now." I told them and they left.

" So, ready, Ms. Goenka? " I said and she just nodded.
