Diya's POV

" Main tumhe pick kerne aajaungi." (I will come and pick you up) I said to Chhoti who got down from the car.

" It's ok, Dee. Main manage ker lungi. Aap tension math lo." (It's ok, Dee. I will manage. You don't worry) she said throwing an air kiss to me and running inside the school.

" Careful, baccha." (Careful, kiddo) I said but Chhoti being Chhoti didn't pay any heed to me. I sighed.

" What a kid!!!" I heard Rick saying.

" Indeed. What a kid!!!" I said.

" How do you cope up with her?" He asked mean I just sighed.

" Just we are habitual of her actions." I said and he said.

" I would have gone mad by now." He mumbled but I heard it.

" Come on. She is cute too and another reason can be that we are also a bit crazy like her. You haven't noticed it." I said and he laughed.

" You are not crazy, ma'am." He said and I rolled my eyes.

" Stop calling me ma'am. You can call me Diya. It's not hard to memorize. If it's not possible then call me Ms. Goenka but not ma'am." I requested him as I hate being called ma'am from someone who is 21 years older than me.

" Sorry, ma'am. I already have explained you." He said and I sighed deeply.

" Why are you too stubborn?" I asked him irritatingly and he laughed.

" I don't know, ma'am." He said opening the door for me. I got in the car. " Where are you going, ma'am? Where should I drop you?" He asked me.

" Café Lavender." I said to him.

" Roger that." He said and I laughed.

" Great. Tell me one thing, Rick." I asked him and he nodded as he ignited the engine.

" Do you have a family?" I asked him.

" Yes, I do." He said.

" Who are in your family?" I asked him.

" My wife and my son." He said.

" Alright. How old is your son?" I asked him.

" He is 19." He said.

" Good. He is almost of my own age. Then why can't you call me by my name!! This is insanity." I told him.

" Cause he is my son and you are would be of my boss. You both have difference between you two." He said and I sighed.

" You are a crazy, irritating ad stubborn old man." I said and he chuckled at this.

" I just don't want to get fired." He said.

" No one will fire you. I will talk to Mr. Axton." I said and he shook his head.

" No need, ma'am." He said.

" Why are you that stubborn?!!" I asked him again. " I want to paint your hair blue. Urrrghh." I said. He shook his head smilingly. Like I am a kid and whining for a wrong thing. " Don't call me, ma'am. I hate it." I said.

" I don't have any other options in that case, ma'am." He said.

" Again ma'am!!!" I said. I sighed.

" We are here, ma'am." He said and I nodded. I opened the door and came out. " I will be waiting here, ma'am. Just text me when you are done." He said and I nodded. I entered the café and called a waitress.

" Excuse me?" I said.

" Yes, ma'am?" She said.

" Do you have any reservation for Mrs. Chauhan?" I asked her.

" Yes, ma'am. Come with me. This way please." She said and I followed her. I saw Shagun Chauhan sitting in the corner of the café. I never ever liked her dressing sense. Why was I expecting some change in her today!!!! I was a stupid.

" Good morning, Ms. Goenka." She faked a smile. I rolled my eyes.

" No one knows it's good or bad." I said.

" That was rude." She said faking another smile.

" For me it's always good. It's bad for them who are actually jealous of me." She said.

" No pride is there of stealing anyone's man and definitely not in looking beautiful with tons of make up." I said. " Don't people feel like a cake with tons of make up!!! A cherry on top." I said holding my laughter so hard. Shagun's face was priceless. She was really looking like a cake with her painted face. She was angry now I knew it.

" I don't have any time to waste to listen to your stupid lecture. Come to the point why have you called me?" She asked.

" If I had any other option I would also never ever come to see the face of a person who doesn't worth it." I said perfectly hitting her all buttons but politely. Cause, I don't want her to use it against me.

" Then why is the great Diya Goenka has called me to talk to me?" She asked.

" Why have you gone to my aunt's University? Why are you bother her?" I asked directly on her face.

" Cause for her I might lose my family now." She said and I was shocked.

" As long as I know my Aunt is not like a woman who will do something like that and she will definitely not go back to her ex-husband. She is a respectable person. She is not like the others." I said.

" You are trying to say I am not one?" She asked back. She still has guts to ask that.

" You should go back home and stand in front of the mirror then ask yourself. Now tell me why are you bothering my aunty?! She had never bothered you since these 15 years. Why are you bothering her now?" I asked her.

" Bothering!!! She is up to destroying my life." She said more like gritted.

" What has she done to you?" I asked her. She sighed deeply.

" Since she has shifted here in London 6 years back Vikram is regretting everything he has done. He is regretting meeting me as well. He keeps talking to go back to her. He keeps talking about his daughter all the time. This is why he filed for a custody case of his daughter. He still loves his daughter. He knows that Shivani will never let Aradhya go alone to her dad. He is mad. He can even divorce me and go back to them again. You are saying she is not bothering me!!" She said.

" He won't. For sake of your children. They are his children too aren't they?" I asked her.

" They aren't. They are my children from my ex-husband." She said and I was shocked.

" Still he is their dad now." I said. "He won't leave you." I said. "Just stop bothering my aunty. She will never ever go back to him even if he kills himself. Once being foolish was enough and for your kind information Aradhya hates her dad with every drop of her blood. She will never ever come back to her dad. You can be relaxed. I can guarantee that." I said and she looked at me sharply. " Just make him withdraw the case. I guarantee you no one will bother you and your family will be yours." I said to her. Cause, I know that there is no use of trying to revive the relationship which is dead already. Nothing will change now. Everything has finished already.

" Why are you doing this?" She asked me.

" Cause, I don't want them get hurt again. The person who has deceived once can do that again. Taking no risks." I said. I don't trust a person like Vikram Chauhan and there is no guarantee that Shagun is telling the truth. She is a witch after all who ruined a family and their happiness.
