Mistakes!!!

Diya's POV

I was totally messed sitting in my cabin. Yesterday I got punishment from my arrogant boss. I sighed clutching my head. What am I supposed to do now!!!

All the other apprentices are enjoying and exploring the office. I shook my head. I need to concentrate. This is my test and hell will be frozen if I failed in it. I never lost. Never ever. This time too, Diya won't failed. I took a deep breath. I opened the first file from the piles of files I was given. I have to finish them today or tomorrow I myself have to do it. I took my spectacles and wore it. Alright I am nerd.

I was so busy with my works I didn't see my phone was ringing. Suddenly, someone cleared throat and I looked up only finding it was my boss. My mood terribly turned off seeing him. Now what have I done!!! I stood up at once.

" Have you left your ears at home?" He asked.

" What!?? I mean I didn't follow you, sir." I said. I was looking at him shocked.

" Yeah, I think you have. Otherwise you could hear things around you and besides you aren't putting any headphones, then why didn't you hear?" He asked me and I looked at him blankly.

" I can hear perfectly, sir." I said coldly.

" Well, I knocked more than 7 times but you didn't even said you are inside. What kind of joke this this!!! And here your phone is ringing again and again you didn't hear it." He showed me my phone. I took it and saw Aradhya called 21 times. What might be happened!!! Is everything alright!!! Aunty!!! Is she ok??!

" Oh, I am extremely sorry, sir. I was so busy with works that I couldn't hear it is ringing or you were knocking." I said and found him staring at me with soft gaze but then he turned the cold one again.

" Well, it is very disappointing. You must take care of everything. Not only works but also the others." He said coldly. How arrogant this guy is!!!

" Yes, sir I will take care of it." I said.

" Better." He said.

" Do you need something, sir?" I asked.

" I wanted to tell you that finish those works today cause tomorrow will be a long day for you, if you don't finish these today you won't be able to balance later." He said.

" Ok, sir. I will try my best to finish them today." I said.

" Good then. Report me as soon as you are finished." He left then.

I took a sigh of relief. Thanks God. He didn't fired me for this. I thought he will just fire me. But he can't fire you Diya. Mrs. Axton said only she can fire you not anyone else. I sat down my chair and was about to started working then I remembered Aradhya called several times. I took my phone and called her immediately. What might be happened!!!

" Chhoti, what happened?" I asked.

" Where were you, Dee?" She asked.

" In office, girl why?" I said.

" Your mom called and said to call you back." She said but I found like she cried.

" Just because of this you called me several times!!! Didn't get any sense. Tell me what happened!!!" I said.

" Nothing happened, Dee." She said and I knew she was lying.

" Are you telling me or I apply another tricks?" I said.

" Which one?" She said.

" Maybe buttering you. But I have a pile of works to finish now tell me hurry." I said to her. But she was silent.
