Ivy's POV

My stomach hurt so much and it felt as if a thousand knives were being stabbed into it. It felt as if there was a scorching hot fire building up inside of it, waiting to explode. Why can't I just be happy for once? The one time I finally found genuine happiness without having to manipulate anyone for it was taken away from me. I knew that I shouldn't have made the deal with the devil but I wasn't thinking. I just went into it blindly without thinking of the consequences. I was too blinded by revenge and thought that it was the only way to be happy.

I was wrong.

Once I clicked my fingers, I appeared in the dark, eerie room that was oh so familiar to me. It belonged to the man who had caused all this but he was no where in sight. "Come and show yourself you snake!" I yelled, still clutching onto my stomach in pain. A small, dark chuckle came from the corner of the room before a shadowy figure emerged. The closer he came towards me, the more my stomach ached until the pain was unbearable. All he could do was smirk, his scales becoming more visible as he came into the light.

"Ivy. It's so nice to see you" he said sarcastically as I tried to remove my hands from my stomach and stand up straight, preventing myself from showing weakness.

"It's nice to see you too, Deceit" I replied sarcastically.

"I trust you're here for some assistance with your little stomach ache" he smirked.

"It's you're fault! You're the one who did this to me!" I yelled, which only increased the pain until I could no longer stand up and fell to the floor, clutching my stomach and screaming in agony. I hated being like this. I hated showing weakness, especially in front of him.

"Well you should know by now to never break a deal with me or you shall suffer the consequences. I think you've forgotten, dearie, that I have eyes and ears everywhere. I know that you were somehow befriending the one I love, encouraging her relationship with that bumbling idiot she calls her boyfriend, instead of bringing her to me. That was our deal afterall. You bring her to me and once I have her, you can have all the fun you want when she's misbehaving"

"I don't want to do that any more. I could never hurt her. She's my friend. The deal is off" I stated firmly and he just chuckled.

"Oh dearie. That's not how I work. You see, when you make a deal with me, it's only off when I say it is and I say that it is still on. You don't need to get your end of the deal but I still want mine. You will bring Y/N to me whether you like it or not! Understand?"

"I don't take orders from anybody!" I yelled at him. He may have been able to scare other people but not me. I wasn't as weak as the others. "Why do you want her so badly anyway?"

"Because I love her!" He barked back and I just laughed.

"You really call what you have for her love? I've seen real love today and it is completely different to your twisted idea of love. True love doesn't do what you do. True love isn't hurting people in order to get them to love you. True love is protecting those who you care about, being willing to sacrifice your life for them. And I know thst you wouldn't do that for her or for anyone. No, what do have for her is lust, not love. A guy like you could never love anyone" I smirked, realising that I was winding him up. As much he hated to admit it, I was right and he knew it.

"I don't care of it's true love or not! I still want her and you're going to bring her to me!"

"Even if I did bring her here, which I won't, it's not going to do anything. You already tried forcing her to love you and it clearly didn't work. Her heart belongs to Patton and only Patton. She can't and won't love another, especially not you. No one could ever love you!" He looked defeated for a brief moment before his smirk returned to his face.

"Well if I can't have her love, no one can and I'll make sure of that, but I still need your help"

"No! I refuse to help you! Y/N's my one and only friend and I don't want to betray her trust!" I barked and he just darkly chuckled.

"Oh I didn't ask you if you wanted to. If you won't help me normally, I guess I'll have to force you to" He flicked his wrist and an acid yellow serpent appeared from the corner of the room and launched itself at me, wrapping its mouth around my arm and sinking its teeth into my skin. I screamed out in pain. That's the last thing I remember before everything turned to black.

My eyes opened again a few hours later only this time, I felt different. I felt as if I wasn't in control of my own body. I was unable to move freely no matter how hard I tried. Suddenly, I shot up to see Deceit standing there, a wide smirk plastered onto his face.

"What have you done?" I growled through gritted teeth.

"Now now Ivy, no need to get so aggressive. I simply gave you a little...upgrade. Now, you have no control over your own actions and you will help me whether you want to or not" That's it. He had won, or was about to. He was smarter than I thought.

"Now, let's get Y/N as far away from Patton as we can"
