"How's Jayden?" Zayn asked Harry as the two of them sat in the small Deli, enjoying a warm home cooked meal for lunch. They decided to go out for the day since Zayn had been sitting in his penthouse for four days straight since the breakup. So the curly haired latter was finally able to get him out of the house and into the city. Instead of taking a cab or asking the driver to drive them, they took the subway to Brooklyn.

"He's good. Just a little stressed because of the moving." Harry shrugged and bit into his sandwich, licking the mayonnaise from the corner of his lips.

"And it's working out good?"

"Yeah, thank you for helping us find a place on such short notice." He smiled at the dark haired beauty, grabbing his glass. "We really appreciate it."

"It's no problem." Zayn hummed. "I'm happy to help a friend out."

"So- um, there's something I've been meaning to tell you." Harry started and rubbed at his chin, chewing his bottom lip nervously. He wiped his mouth with a napkin, leaning back against the wooden chair.

"What is it?" Zayn asked him curiously, lifting one of his brows. He moved his fork around the pasta to distribute the cheesy sauce. He hummed softly and rubbed at his bump, looking at him.

"Well," harry cleared his throat, "Jayden and I are expecting."

"Expecting what?"

Harry turned a bright shade of red, giving Zayn a knowing look. The twenty-one year old looked at him confused, still not getting what he meant until he saw his friend's eyes shifting from him down to his bump.

"Oh my god!" Zayn gasped loudly, quickly covering his mouth when some of the customers turned to stare at them weirdly. He blushed. "Oh my god." He said again, but quieter this time. "You're pregnant!?" He squeaked excitingly. "That's so great! Oh my god, I wish I could hug you now but since this baby is getting bigger it's harder for me to get up. This is amazing!"

"You think so?" The curly haired man bit down his bottom lip anxiously.

"Of course!" Zayn's smile reached his ears. "Does Jayden know?" He asked and took a sip from his iced water.

"Yeah." Harry nodded his head and smiled softly. "He was the first to know – of course. I've never seen him so happy before." He chuckled and licked his lips, looking down at his half eaten sandwich.

"What's wrong?" Zayn questioned when he saw that something was bothering Harry, his smile disappearing instantly.

"Oh it's- it's nothing." Harry shook his head to dismiss it. "I'm not sure if I'm ready yet to be honest." He shrugged his shoulders and sighed heavily. "But like- seeing how happy it made Jayden and how excited he was when he started planning everything... I just have no idea what to do."

"Honey, no one's really ready to have a child. The first time I got pregnant was when I was in high school. I mean," Zayn chuckled softly, "it's a huge responsibility since you're taking care of a child, a human being. But it's also something really beautiful. It's your baby. Your pride and joy. Something you made with your partner. Yes, I complain sometimes and yes the hormones as well as the cravings aren't very pleasant at some points, but honestly, I can't wait to get her out and just be able to hold her and raise her." He explained with a small smiled softly. "You'll get used to the thought and then all your worries just fade away like they never even existed. You got this harry. You and Jayden both. If he's willing to raise your baby with you then that means a lot. And you still have me and the others to back you up."

"That's a really nice pep talk zee." Harry chuckled and nodded his head in agreement. "Okay, yes you're right." He said and inhaled a deep breath. "You're right. I – we got this."

"That's the spirit." Zayn giggled and clapped his hands. "Ugh, this is so exciting!" He squealed and grinned. "This is going to be so much fun. Our kids can become best friends!" He gushed.

"Wow, you're even more excited than I am." Harry laughed.

Zayn just grinned happily, feeling a lot happier than before. At least he could get his mind off of the break up and Liam.

"That's the last of it." Evan announced as he carried the last moving box towards the elevator, placing it on top of the other few boxes. He patted it with a hum and smiled at Ralph before turning around to look at his ex fiancé. Zayn was sitting on one of the couches with their dogs, having watched him move out the past two hours. It did broke zayn's heart seeing Evan pack and leave. He imagined them living the rest of their lives together, but ever since Liam popped back into the picture, that image had left his mind.

"You don't have to move out you know..." Zayn trailed and bit his bottom lip. "I- I can look for a place."

"You're pregnant, Zayn." Evan pointed out with a chuckled. "You're not moving out." He started walking towards him. "We already baby proofed this place for her, so I want you to keep it. As well as the ring." He explained and have him a small smile, sitting down beside him.

The dark haired beauty looked down at his hands, fiddling with the engagement ring. "What am I supposed to do with this?" He asked with a soft voice.

"You can give it to our baby when she gets older." The twenty-two year old suggested, shrugging his shoulders. "You can sell it or just do whatever you want with it."

"I'm not gonna get rid of it." Zayn shook his head and admired the pink diamond. He sighed heavily and slipped the ring back on, averting his gaze up to meet Evan's. "Do you still want to be in her life?" He sudden asked, deciding to directly confront him about the situation instead of just dragging it.

"Of course I do. She's still my child too."

"What about us?"

"There is no us, that's one thing." Evan chuckled. "But I'm willing to co-parent with you. I'm still not going to forgive you, but I'm going to go through with raising our daughter with you. That's the only reason." He emphasized, giving Zayn a stern look. The pregnant lad nodded his head a little eagerly before blushing.

"That sounds reasonable." He smiled a little at that. "Thank you."

"Don't thank me yet. Thank me when she's off to college." Evan chuckled and checked the time on his Rolex. "Well I have to go now. Ralph will come by later to pick up the rest of the stuff because I have a meeting to go to in New Delhi and my flight leaves in two hours." He hummed and rubbed at his beard, getting up.

Zayn pushed himself up as well and walked him to the elevator. "I guess I'll see you around then, huh?" His teeth sunk into his bottom lip when he looked up at his ex fiancé, watching his every move. His heart shattered a little when he realized that it was officially over between them, making him once again sadder than he was before. He tried his best not to cry, but his hazel eyes were building up with tears.

"Guess so." The older guy nodded. "Take care zee." With that, he picked up one of the heavy boxes and stepped into the elevator once the doors opened, pressing the button to the lobby. The ex couple shared one last look, Zayn waving goodbye as soon as the heavy doors slid close.

Sighing, he wiped the tears away that had formed in his eyes, telling him to pull it together. It was his fault that he was in this position and he shouldn't cry about it. He should be grateful that Evan even considers co-parenting with him instead of fully leaving him alone with their child.
