A family vacation was really something Zayn needed. After managing the Record Store for over a year, he needed a nice break. Things were going great. The store was one of the most visited places in their home town and they have been earning some good money from it lately. Of course, Liam was still taking care of his father's company in New York, but he was working from the record store and from home, so Zayn has a chance to see his husband every day. And Liam was able to spend time with the kids who were growing way too fast.

Kai was six, Kennette was almost three and Theodore was going to turn two in a few months. Time went by so fast. Zayn and Liam would almost be married for two years. Not to mention, Kai was starting primary school in September. Which was very much exciting but also scary for the young couple. Especially Liam. Zayn knew that the brunet wasn't ready to let him go just yet. It took a while until he could convince Liam that it was time.

The older latter kept suggesting to homeschool him instead, but Zayn strictly told him no. In the end he agreed to it, but he still wasn't fond with the idea. Kennette was also going to start preschool, the little girl being excited to make new friends. The only child that would still be staying with their parents for at least another year would be Theodore. It was crazy how fast time could go by.

But for now, the family decided to enjoy their last moments together before the hassle would begin. They went on a long trip to Brazil with a few of their friends tagging along. The trip was also a opportunity for Evan, Niall and Kennette to be closer again since she doesn't see much of her father.

Niall and Evan were finally engaged after two years of being together already. It was exciting. Zayn was happy knowing that Evan has found someone special he could officially spend his life with after the entire mess he had left behind. Knowing he was happy made him very much happy. He was still relieved that they all had great contact and could go on trips like these together without there being any bad blood. Plus, Liam and Evan learned to become close again which was also good.

Things were going great.

Zayn was up early. He was sitting by the balcony, staring at the ocean view and enjoying the morning sun beaming down. It was lovely. The birds were singing and the warm breeze blew through his hair. He was already enjoying some breakfast whilst everyone else was still asleep on the king sized bed. Kennette and Kai had joined the couple in the middle of the night since there was a thunder storm rumbling outside. They didn't mind though since they enjoyed cuddling their kids and making sure to keep them safe from the scary storms. Theodore on the other hand slept in his crib like nothing was evening happening. He definitely got that from Zayn's side.

The dark haired latter took a sip from his tea and moved his gaze back down to his book he was reading. He hummed softly, his head tilted to the side as his eyes scanned the words.

About five minutes later, he could hear the sound of small footsteps coming towards him from behind. His eyes moved to a little hand tapping at his arm, Kennette standing beside the chair. She was rubbing at her tired eyes with her fist, a small pout on her lips.

"Morning angel." Zayn smiles softly and marked the page he was on before closing the book. Kennette just made grabby hands towards him, the dark haired latter chuckling fondly. He put the book aside and picked up the little girl, placing her on his lap.

The toddler cuddled into her baba's chest and buried her face into his neck to avoid the sun, Zayn cooing softly at that. "Oh honey," he kissed the top of her head and rubbed her back, continuing to hum a soft tune.
