Thea had the wolf inside and i was stuck staring out into the trees. Damon was out there with only one other wolf that i know of. Without thinking i let my wolf take over and shifted running into the trees. We followed his scent up until we were faced with a bloody scene...

Wolves bodies laid sprawled out on the ground. Some were human some were in wolf form. I almost cried as my wolf made her way towards the middle. The sickening scent of iron hit me and i had to turn my head to gag.

The scent was soon covered by Damon's though. "What are you doing here Sage?" I looked up at him and shifted so i was sitting on the ground with tears streaming down my face.

He frowned and took off his shirt putting it on me before standing me up and hugging me. "A wolf made it to the territory.. I was scared you were under attack... i didn't think i just shifted and ran to you."

I sniffled and Damon slowly lifted my head so i was looking at him. He kissed me softly. "You worry about me to much. When Ryan and i got here it was already over. The pups are hidden all over this place. We were just looking for them." I nodded and looked around.

"I-I can help.." I didn't give him time to protest as i started looking around the place. Damon had found most of them but i felt like one was missing.

"Baby girl it's time to head back. We got all of them." I shook my head towards him.

"I feel like there's another one here somewhere." Damon sighed and waved off Ryan as he began to lead the pups home. It was just Nora, Damon, and i here now. Nora sent the rest of the warrior wolves back seeing the deaths had already been caused.

Hours of searching i finally found the pup. He was curled up under his bed crying. "Hey..." The pup began to shake viciously before he lifted his head. Bright blue eyes stared back at me. "You're safe now... come out..." the pup hesitantly nodded and slowly climbed out.

Once he was out i could see how young he was. He looked to be 3 years old. He stared up at me with tears still streaming from his eyes. "W-wheres mommy?" My heart ached for him. 

How can someone tell a kid that his parents are gone...? I got on my knees and picked him up carefully. "We will find you a new mommy..."

The boy shook his head as he sniffled. "I want the mommy i have..." I tear slid from my eyes as i looked up at him.

"Your mommy is.... She's not coming back..." I directed his face towards me as we walked out the doors.

"Wheres mommy? She said she would come back for me.." His eyes tried to wonder but i did the best i could to keep his eyes on me.

"I can't tell you..." My attempt at keeping him focused on me failed as he noticed the body of what i assumed was his mother.

"Mommy?" He squirmed in y grasp but i did the best i could to hold onto him. "Mommy!" I eventually lost my grip as he landed n the ground and ran to the lifeless body of his mother. "Mommy please wake up... Daddy's coming home today..." The boys eyes began to fall like a water fall.

I watched helplessly at the boy crying over the lifeless body.
