I jumped awake and looked around frantically panting. After calming down i noticed Damon sleeping in the chair that sat beside the bed. The triplets laying in one baby bed.

I smiled softly relising it was just a dream. Pushing myself up i let out a small grunt of pain before sitting myself back down my back against the wall behind me.

Once up i was able to see the triplets almost perfectly. They were all cuddled up in their small pile. The runt had her thumb in her mouth, while the other two sandwiched her in as if to protect her.

My heart pounded with joy as i leaned back and watched them closely. I never thought i could be so happy to have had 3 little angels in my life.

I sighed softly and pushed myself back down so i was laying on the bed again and allowed myself to drift asleep again.

The next day i was woken up by something putting pressure on my stomach. I winced a bit as i heard Taylors voice.

"Careful bud. Your moms still in a lot of pain." I felt movement again as the weight was lifted off me and placed beside me.

"Will she be there to watch me shift?" I heard Kestin's little voice whisper.

Shit i forgot he was gonna shift soon. "I don't think so bud.." Taylor mumbled.

"Fuck that i'm not." I muttered and opened my eyes to look at Kestin. I smiled at him softly. "I wouldn't miss your first shift if i was kidnapped."

Kestin's eyes lit up as he heard those words fall from my mouth. "Luna... your much to weak to move though."

"Damon can carry me. It's Kestin's first shift. He needs me there if he's not strong enough." I looked at Taylor with the most serious expression i could at my state. "Then after i can go back inside and get some rest."

Taylor sighed and nodded as she looked over at the triplets. "Ok well i'll come get you when its time." I nodded and watched as she walked out.

The night came by faster then i was hoping for. Damon came in and picked me up as we fallowed Kestin outside. Every step that Damon took to get us outside my heart started beating faster.

Out of fear. Fear that my son would be killed tonight. Fear that i won't be able to help him. Fear about everything going wrong.

Damon sat in a chair holding me on his lap. I nuzzled my face into his neck and looked down at Kestin to stood in the circle of pups ready for their first shift.

"Hi mom!" Kestin waved to me smiling. I smiled at him and waved back. Our smiles didn't last long though as we heard a pup squeak and yelp as he fell to the ground fallowed by a few more.

Kestin looked at them then at me with tears in his eyes. Ive never seen so much horror in his eyes besides the day i found him.

"Don't focus on them Kestin! Focus on yourself! You got this!" I screamed towards him. He backed up and shook his head crying.

"I can't do it i can't do it i can't-!" Kestin's yelling was cut off by him screaming in pain and falling to the ground.

"Kestin!" I watched as the boy i raised up to this point curled into a ball and scream louder. I could see is body get lower as more wolf like features began to show up. "Kestin get up! You got this!"

My heart began to hurt as i watched the body stop moving.
