That makes sense now. Years ago hybrids and vampires were thrown out of towns. Outlawed because they caused so much pain to the town. They were looked at as untamable beasts. Creatures only thirsty for blood.

Werewolves pushed them out of the human towns and forced them to never go near humans ever again. That's how werewolves became part of the humans lives. Aloud to live among us.

I guess this was their revenge. I looked over at Damon with worried eyes before at everyone else in the room. What are we gonna do?

"I want to double the guard wolves around the territory now. 3 guard wolves a corner i don't want a inch of this territory unsupervised." I demanded and looked at Damon. "Tell everyone not to leave the territory unless they are accompanied by someone able to protect them."

Damon nodded and kissed my cheek before heading out the room. I took in a deep breathe and sighed. What are we gonna do about these vampires?

Later in the day i went into town with Damon to meet up with Thea and her mate Axel for lunch. I wanted to warn her about what was gonna happen and to keep her guard up.

Upon approaching the small Diner i noticed the familiar scent of Thea followed by her familiar dark hair. I smiled and walked into the building and made my way over to Thea she looked happier then the last time i saw her.

"Hey Thea." I called out to her. Snapping her head so fast i swear she would have gotten whiplash her familiar face grew into a smile as she stood up and hugged me tightly.

"Hey Sage. How's everything going? are the pups listening to you?" She sat back down beside Axel as i sat on the opposite side with Damon sitting beside me.

"Well Dallas and Kennedy have been bullying Pixie a bit but Kestin has her back which i am grateful for." I sighed as Thea nodded slightly.

"Ya runt's usually get treated that way. It's a bit of a coping mechanism.." She took a sip of the glass of water she had in front of her.

"Coping mechanism? For what?" I let out a nervous chuckle but my heart was pounding and felt like it was gonna sink into my stomach.

Thea looked a bit confused before looking at Damon. "You didn't tell her?"

"Tell me what?" I instantly looked up at Damon. There was something he didn't tell me and honestly i didn't know if i wanted to know.

Damon sighed deeply and chewed on his lip before he looked over at Thea then at myself. "I'll tell you later."

"No tell me now." I demanded. If it's something big i need to know about it now.

"Sage... most runt's never make it through their shift.. and even if they do some will die before they even get to the age to meet their mate. Runt's are easy target's." I looked at the table slightly panting as i tried to calm myself down.

"That won't be Pixie. She's strong for the way she is." I said with confidence. I was mostly trying to calm myself down more then anything but something in me new that Pixie was special.

"Yes Sage. I believe Pixie will be able to grow up and meet her mate. She is very shy and timid but she does have a strong heart." Thea reassured me. I smiled at her. Glad to know i am not the only one who thinks so. "So what did you want to tell me?"

"Oh that's right." I sat up a bit and opened my mouth to speak before a waitress came over.

"Hey welcome to Sunrise Diner could i get you two anything to drink?" A female asked looking at me and Damon.

I looked over at her and smiled a bit she was human and had nice long curly red hair with brown eyes and faded freckles along her nose. "Ya could i get a iced tea please?"

She nodded and wrote it down on her small note pad. "Just a water is fine with me." Damon spoke up as she nodded and wrote it down.

"Alright i will be right with you." She walked off leaving the four of us alone again.

I looked over at Thea and smiled before putting on a bit more of a serious face. "So i noticed that a few creatures have been stalking around our territory. And i suspect it could be half breed's."

"So? Half breed's are harmless they couldn't hurt us." I nodded along with her words before continuing.

"Yes but we also suspect they are teaming up with vampires." I watched her face change to a worried expression.

She opened my mouth to speak before she could get anything out the diner doors busted open. "They're here! They're here!"

I snapped my head over to the commotion only to see a older man who looks to be in his 40's limping into the building holding the side of his neck. His clothes were soaked in blood that began from the wound he was holding.

"Oh fuck!" Thea screamed.
