I stood up to run to Kestin but Damon grabbed ahold of my hand holding me back. "Let go of me!" I demanded as i flailed myself around a bit to try and break from his grip.

At this point tears were falling like a waterfall down my face. "Sage just sit and watch." Damon picked me up and sat me on his lap.

I began to sob in his arms as he rubbed my back. I really didn't want to look but something in me made me. I looked at the small limp body that say in the middle.of the other pups.

Kestin's body was still moving as it transformed itself fully into a pup the was knocked out. Kestin was still alive...

I smiled and stood up before i quickly fell to the ground from the pain i didn't notice i still had. Damon stood up and ran his fingers through my hair before walking over to Kestin and picked him up.

Watching Damon's movements i noticed a few distant sobs. Looking around two pups hadn't shifted fully yet and weren't moving.

Tears began to fall as i watcher the parents of those two pups hold the bodies close and sob.

Damon placed Kestin in my arms before walking over to one of the crying parents and placed a hand on the mothers shoulder before moving towards the other family.

Watching i looked down at Kestin and hugged him tightly. I've never been so happy to listen to someone's heart beat in my life. I was grateful to the moongodess for saving my little boy.

The rest of the night we buried the two pups and went on about our night. Taylor was trying her best to get me back inside but i refused. The two parents needed someone there for them.

"Rieta always spoke about her first shift... how she was gonna chase the butterflies more easier..." one of the mothers smoke a small tear falling which her husband wiped away.

"Terrance always spoke about meeting his mate one day.. he would go on and on about how he was gonna treat her like a queen.." the other mom spoke.

"I'm sorry about what happened today.. but your pups are up with the moongodess now.. watching you. So smile and have fun for them. They wouldn't want to see their parents upset on a full moon..."

The two parents nodded. Rieta's mom put on a small fake smile and looked at everyone else. "Rieta would do her best to make me smile when i was upset. I'm not gonna let her fail now."

She stood up and grabbed ahold of her mates hand and walked to the dance floor. I looked at the other two who looked like they had given up.

"I'm sorry for your loss but things will be easier in the future.." the father nodded and looked at his wife who was fixated on the floor.

"Lets go get something to drink.." the husband spoke. The wife nodded and stood up. I watched them walk away and towards the tables.

I sighed and looked at the floor as Damon came over and rubbed my back. "Taylor said Kestin will wake up tomorrow..."

"That's not what i am upset about..." Damon frowned and picked me up before setting me on his lap. I stayed like that for the rest of the night. Ended up falling asleep in his arms once again.
