"Ah!" Sicheng felt his insides twisting. "I can't, my parents won't allow me to have a pet."

"Why?"

"I don't know they say a pet is a duty and it will distract me from school work so I can't have one."

"At lest you can see her here," Yuta patted the dog.

"Yes, twice a week," Sicheng crouched down next to him placing his hand in Nani's fur when Yuta's eyes fell on his face their fingertips brushed over each other under the dog's ear causing Sicheng to get another electrical shock.

He looked up discovering him and Yuta were way too close, the boy's face so pretty from this small distance Sicheng jumped up immediately.

"I must go home, thank you for help," he said walking to the front door swiftly his heart hammering in thousand melodies.

"Sicheng!" Yuta called him when he reached the car outside the shelter. "Jump in," said Yuta opening the car.

"Can you give me my bike?" asked Sicheng.

"I'll drop you off," Yuta raised his brow.

"No you don't understand if my parents will see me leaving a stranger's car I will be banned from everything forever, you can't even imagine the punishment I will receive," said Sicheng raising his voice.

"I can drop you off at some place near your house but still far enough your parents won't see my car," said Yuta calmly.

"Oh," Sicheng became red.

"Jump in it's getting dark," said Yuta so Sicheng moved on the passenger's seat with his head low.

He was so embarrassed about his outburst he shouldn't be saying this things about his parents.

Yuta started the car, they were driving in silence till Yuta started to hum a song while Sicheng was fighting with himself as the corners of his eyes were watching the boy all the time, what was giving him goose bumps.

Way too soon the forest in front of his house appeared and Sicehng asked Yuta to stop the car.

The boy turned to him his eyes carrying fire.

"It was a beautiful day, can we exchange numbers, in case you need something or just a ride call me ok," said Yuta when Sicheng forgot how to breath.

"I-I can't give my number to strangers," he stuttered.

"You're not a kid anymore Sicheng you can make your own choices," whispered Yuta his eyes piercing through him.

"Ok," Sicheng lowered his head telling his number, then his phone vibrated in his pocket.

"But please don't sent any texts my mum is checking my phone once a week, I need to save your number as Mark's new one," Sicheng felt heat on his cheeks.

"I won't don't worry," Yuta's fingertips brushed over the top of his palm briefly but the boy moved his hand away quickly.

"I'll get the bike," he said leaving the car.

Sicheng needed a moment to get out he saw Yuta placing the bike out on the road in the darkness, so Sicheng walked to him grabbing the handle.

"See you around," he muttered.

"Sure, have a nice night," Yuta rubbed the back of his neck.

The tension was insane Sicheng wished to hide somewhere but he also wished to stay here to simply enjoy looking into Yuta's eyes.

"It was a great day, yes," he said.

"Yes, great, we need to repeat it... I'll talk to Taeil," Yuta placed his hands in his pockets.

"Yes," Sicheng trembled. "So..."

"So..." Yuta bit his lips.

"So... See you," Sicheng moved two steps with the bike.

"Yes see you," Yuta was standing there watching him equally nervous.

"Night," Sicheng moved another step away.

"Night," Yuta smiled.

"Night," Sicheng felt his face burning.

"Goodnight," Yuta chuckled.

"Night," Sicheng turned around walking down the road with the bike turning around each few steps catching Yuta's eyes when the boy was standing there watching him with that sweet smile.

Sicheng reached the house while all his insides were singing a love song, butterflies circling in him when he was smiling to himself. He left the bike in the garage then entered the living room to find his mother sitting at the table her face stone cold.

"Hi mum," said Sicheng smiling, her face stayed equally could.

"What time is it?" she asked causing his insides to freeze.

"What..." he asked stunned.

"What time is it?" she repeated.

He turned around his heart hammering loudly from fear, it was 2 minutes past 8 p.m., all skin crumbled on his back.

"I'm two minutes late," he whispered lowering his head.

"You will never go out with Mark again," she said slamming her fist on the table.

"B-but mum it's two minutes, I was tired when cycling up from the shelter, your can ask Mr. Thomas I was there on time," begged Sicheng.

"We had an appointment, you know the rules," she said getting up.

"I do," Sicheng lowered his head. "I'm sorry."

"Tomorrow you'll go home straight from school you can't go out anywhere else just to school and back."

"But Miss Banaya needs my help!" cried Sicheng. "She's 94 how do you expect her to carry her shopping up the hill?"

"How dear you to raise your voice in front of me!" shouted his mum walking to him and slapping his face.

"I'm sorry," Sicheng was clenching his fists tightly.

"She has some family that should take care of her," said his mother.

"You know she has no one."

"Should I wake up your father and ask for help to teach you how to behave?" she asked.

"No," whispered Sicheng.

He knew it will be even worse if his father will get involved, his mother was always the nicer one.

"Good, place your phone on the table," she said.
