Yuta lost his balance when he slammed against a shelf with tools, a box of nails fell on the floor, the metal pieces rolling in all directions.
"What?" asked Yuta stunned.
"Yuta!" Sicheng's face was red from anger. "What are you doing?"
"Having fun," whispered Yuta.
"I thought you-you..." Sicheng was inhaling sharply.
"I thought we're dating," muttered Yuta feeling pain and fury.
"I though so too," Sicheng lowered his head.
"So this is part of dating, we've been together for over two months now!" Yuta raised his voice.
"And?" Sicheng looked at him his eyes competitive.
"And? Don't you want it?" asked Yuta in shook.
"I'm not like this!" Sicheng jumped from the table top hurrying out.
"Great! Great!" Yuta swore kicking the shelf slamming a lot of things in all directions.
He was so mad, he thought Sicheng wants him, maybe even loves him, but no.
He left the lake house, threw the key on the ground in front of it then jumped into the car driving off. He was so mad, trembling from anger. How could he be so blind, Sicheng was... was Sicheng.
Yes, the angel of Rose Valley the sweet innocent boy who had never had anyone before him, who maybe even didn't know what sex was. Yuta was driving away and away from the village, further and further ahead till two hours later he reached a small town in the middle of nowhere. He left he car next to a post office then walked to a counter, paid for some tokens for the phone box.
He was mad and sad, he needed someone some to talk to, his first choice was to call Taeyong, but yes, Taeyong would convince him to come immediately, forget the world in his mansion, forget Sicheng and Rose Valley and the danger, the killer who was still out there, who had harmed Jaehyun and Johnny. There was no day Yuta wasn't thinking about them wondering if they were still alive, but it would have reached the news, if something bad had happened, so he hoped they were fine although he was scared. He pressed the token into the machine dialling a number, then waiting long signals till a known voice sounded.
"Hello," the voice seemed scared and cautious.
"Hi it's Yuta."
"Yuta! Where are you!" Jaehyun raised his voice.
"Can't tell man. How are you?"
"Alive," Jaehyun sighed. "Johnny had woken up two days ago it's a miracle I'm relieved."
Yuta let the air out its was the bast news since days.
"What about you?" he asked.
"Having rehab on my lag, I'll be able to walk without crutches in some time," Jaehyun seemed tired. "How's Hyuckie?"
"A pain in the ass as always," Yuta laughed.
"And what about you, are you having fun without us, partying hard?"
"There's nowhere to party here," Yuta laughed pitifully. "One Karaoke pub for pensioners."
"Wow congrats on the entertainment you're getting can't say it's not what you deserved."
"I know," Yuta smiled to the phone he realized how much he missed his bandmates. "Jae man it's good to hear your voice."
"It's good to hear you too."
A longer silence fell and Yuta needed to throw another token into the box as the connection time was running out.
"What about the girls?" asked Jaehyun laughing.
"I... I've met someone," Yuta trembled.
"No kidding, it will be over in one day," muttered Jaehyun.
"It's going on for over two months now," whispered Yuta.
"Wow, wow!" Jaehyun repeated. "Is she..."
"He," whispered Yuta.
"Ah!" Jaehyun took a loud breath. "Be careful to not to end like the last time."
"I know but he... he's not like Shoi," Yuta felt his heart began to ache at the name.
"I hope man," Jaehyun became sad.
"Actually he's not like anyone I've ever met, I don't know..." Yuta bit his lip.
"Are you in love? Is it, is it like with your ex?" asked Jaehyun.
"I don't know man, it's definitely not that obvious or... I'm just more cautious."
"What does Donghyuck say about him?"
"Does that matter?"
"Yes," Jaehyun laughed.
"He says he will quit the band if I'll hurt him," Yuta shook his head.
"Means he's ok, so don't fuck up."
"Ah!" Yuta groaned.
"Listen I know you decided to never ever let anyone in but maybe, I don't know maybe this boy is your chance, so give him a chance ok."
Yuta felt something twisting in his stomach, he tried his best to make his breath stable to keep pretending.
"The nurse is coming I need to finish, keep warm and call me from time to time ok," said Jaehyun.
"Ok, say hi to Johnny from me."
"I will."
The conversation ended with the monotone sound when Yuta slammed the handset back on the box.
He walked to the car, drove out of the town around some nearby villages till he turned back to the road towards the valley. It was getting dark when he reached Rose Bay.
