Ella took place in some distance from Jaehyun in the band van, she felt him watching her though.
"So what are your passions Ella?"
"French, I'm studying it," she said. "I love books, long walks in the mountains, I guess I'm still figuring out what my passion is. I like teaching, seeing people grow, what about you?"
"Drums, it's my love, music, love, art, visual arts, movies, watching modern art exhibitions," Jaehyun smiled when she was watching his dimples.
It was so easy to talk to him, she was stunned.
"What are you teaching?" asked Jaehyun.
"Literature at school and French, I'm also leading tutoring classes in the afternoon. Now I'll teach Donghyuck," she smiled.
"Sounds interesting I always wanted to learn French," his dark eyes fell on her.
Ella looked away.
"Teaching the teacher teaches you teaching," she whispered.
"The art of rhetoric," muttered Jaehyun and her stomach twisted.
"I love rhetorical world games, me and my... never mind, I used to do it for breakfast," a painful emptiness opened up inside her when she glanced out at the lit up streets they were passing, Taeil's face becoming so vivid in her memories.
What was he doing in Rose Bay all alone.
"Is there a man in your life?" asked Jaehyun so she kept looking into the widow.
"I don't know anymore. He broke up with me before I left. I don't even know if it's a real break up," her hands started to tremble in her lap. "What about, you is there a woman?" she looked his way.
His gaze was still warm.
"There is a beautiful one in the car with me tonight, that's more than enough," Jaehyun caused her to feel something strange like butterflies and she looked away.
She was happy when the car stopped in front of an insanely big hose so both walked out. A butler led them inside those castle like corridors to a room upstairs where a tiny balding man came to them.
"Mr. Niryaki," Jaehyun bowed down so she did too.
"Jaehyun, world number one drummer. I'm so pleased to see you and your stunning companion," the man faced her.
"This is Ella, my friend," Jaehyun introduced her with a warm smile.
She nodded to the man who invited them in.
"I was telling Ella about my visit to Paris and she wanted to see Margritte," muttered Jaehyun.
"Oh, you're in the right place. I love the French artists," the man opened a door to a museum like floor leading them through a stunning collection of art. Ella stopped at a vase from ancient Greek times that had mythological scenes on its sides.
"I think I'll finally have a companion," whispered Jaehyun stopping next to her. "The boys say I'm boring, but I love museums, each city we go to whenever I have a spare hour I catch up with exhibitions, it's my guilty pleasure," he blushed.
Ella smiled to herself, she wouldn't have ever imagined to meet someone like him here.
But the owner hurried them up so they walked behind him till they stopped in front of a painting. She smiled noticing tow pipes on it.
"It's called 'The two mysteries'," explained Jaehyun.
"I know what you mean now," Ella smiled to him.
They were standing there watching in silence when she felt so connected to the painting and its tricky meaning, to the man she had just met who was standing next to her, but somehow seemed like an old friend she had known all her life.
"And is your friend satisfied?" asked Mr Niryaki when they were walking back stopping at an Italian renascence painting.
"I think she is," answered Jaehyun with a smile.
Mr Niryaki invited them over for some snacks and a glass of champagne. Ella followed Jaehyun to a big room with a long table where they sat down drinking, eating and chatting. The man was asking Jaehyun about the tour and his latest projects. He was super excited when he started to talk about the many business, but Jaehyun said he knows nothing about it, so Mr Niryaki became a bit sad.
Soon they tanked for the hospitality then left the hose walking back to the van. Ella felt so strangely nice and happy.
"I hope you enjoyed the little trip we will see a lot more in Paris," said Jaehyun when she was trying to ignore the tingling on her skin and the butterflies in her stomach.
Was it just the night, the world class art, the inner peace, the big city, the perspective of new places they will visit soon, or was it him - the handsome man with cute dimples in his smile, a warm voice and so much passion towards life.
"I've never met anyone like you Jaehyun," she said turning to him.
"In what way?" he asked.
"Someone so dedicated to life, just simply passionate." she whispered when he slimed.
"You've met someone like that."
"Who?" asked Ella stunned.
"Yourself," Jaehyun turned from her to the window smiling to himself in a mysterious way when she blushed hard.
He wasn't right at all, but maybe if she was here, crazy enough to dive into the night with Icy Love's drummer just to see a painting instead of being Taeil's wife in a small wooden house in Rose Valley, yes maybe he was right.
Thank you so much for your support. What do you think about Ella and Jaehyun's little adventure? Do you think Ella is making the right thing leaving Rose Valley and Taeil behind?
How will Yuwin's evening end?Much <3
