25 - Secrets

December 2, 2016 - Later

~Jack's POV~

The boys and I walk off the stage feeling on top of the world. We just finished our first ever live concert as a band, today couldn't get any better.

"Way to go, guys!" Janelle said cheerfully, running up to us.

We all pulled into a hug, "Thanks, Nellie. We had a blast out there," I added.

"I'm so glad that you are here with us." Daniel pulled her over for a hug between the two of them.

"Hey hey hey, that's my girl friend you are hugging over there." I stepped in between them.

"Geez, sorry Jack. I just wanted to thank her." Daniel punched my arm, making me shudder a little.

"Ouch, Daniel." I rubbed my arm, obviously overreacting. Daniel rolled his eyes and I planted a kiss on Janelle's cheek.

"I'm glad you are here, Nells." She nodded and looked away, concerning me.

"Who wants to go out for pizza?" Jonah suggested, ruining the awkward silence.

"Me." Corbyn, Zach, Daniel and I answered at the same time. We all laughed, it's a band thing.

"I will come too, I guess." Janelle added shyly, something is up.

~Janelle's POV~

    The boys and I arrive at the pizza place and take our seats. It smelt so good in here, I always loved Philadelphian pizza. I looked up at Jack who was sitting across from me. He looked so cute with a big smile on his face, making me feel more guilty about kissing Zach.
    I've almost completely ignored Zach since then, only talking to him when the other boys are around. I didn't want them to get suspicious, and I guess Zach didn't either.
    My phone buzzed and I looked down at it. It was another text from the unknown number. I was getting sick of this person constantly texting me and making my life a living hell.

They may be the best,

    I sat there and stared blankly at my screen. They were right, I have the five most dependable people as friends. But I've stabbed them in their backs and kept secrets from them.

"Excuse me, I need to use the bathroom." I mumbled, quickly getting up.

"You ok, Nellie?" I heard Jack say from behind me.

    I nodded running off into the restroom and locking the door. Everything was circling around in my head. It was true, I'm a horrible friend and no one deserves me. I'm tired of these secrets and hiding things from my friends.
    My breathing slows down again to the point where I could control myself and my thoughts. I need to tell him, I need to tell all of the boys. I can't hide my secrets anymore, and Zach can't do anything about it.
    I stand up and walk over to the sink, washing my face. Ok, I can do this. Jack will probably be extremely mad at me, but at least he will know.
My thoughts are all over the place again, but I manage to get out of the bathroom and walk towards our table. As I get closer, I notice that something is wrong. Zach isn't at the table...

"Guys, where's Zach?" I ask concerned. The four other guys look up and glare at me.

"I can't believe you, Janelle." Jack snaps, throwing his phone onto the table and walking away.

"What? What happened?" I felt my breathing quicken again.

"What happened? You know what happened." Jonah adds on, gathering his coat and phone.

"I'm being, honest. I don't know what happened!"

"What, are you lying about knowing too?" Corbyn says slightly yelling, him and Jonah walk out of the restaurant after Jack.

I walk over to Daniel, on the verge of tears. I have a bad feeling about what happened, and Daniel is the only person here now.

"Daniel.."

He rolls his eyes. "I think you know what happened. But, see for yourself."

Daniel picks up Jack's phone and shows it to me. In front of my eyes, I see a conversation of messages leading to an image. It wasn't any image, but a picture of me and Zach kissing.
I feel every part of me drop. I fall to the floor with tears coming from my eyes. I really messed up this time..

Daniel bends down next to me, "Why, Janelle? Why would you do that. Especially to Jack's best friend in the band."

I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know, Dani. It happened the night we visited Jack after he was stabbed. I went outside to get myself together, and Zach came. I guess I was lost in the moment-"

"I understand," Daniel cuts me off.

"You do?" I ask, looking up at Daniel.

"I mean, I have never cheated on a someone before. But I understand why you did it."

"Wait, so you guys forgive me?"

Daniel looks down, "No. Of course not, Janelle. You cheated on our bandmate with another bandmate. We will forgive you eventually, but only time will tell when."

I slowly nod, "So.. where's Zach."

Daniel shrugs, "To he honest, I don't know. After Jack saw the message, Zach ran off and I didn't notice where."

I stand up and gather my things, "Tell the boys that they can mail my stuff back to me."

"Wait, where are you going?"

"Home, Daniel. I'm not wanted here right now, so it's only best."

Daniel slowly nods his head again. He's hurt that I'm leaving, I know it. But it's what's best right now, and I don't want to ruin anything else for the guys.
I walk out of the restaurant with my coat, phone, and purse.

I guess it's time to go home.
