Epilogue

~Janelle's POV~

I looked up at the gate number, here we are again. I could feel my eyes start to water, only having a few moments left.

"I feel like I'm experiencing deja vu." Jack mumbled, looking over at me.

"Huh, I wonder why." I said, giving off a soft giggle.

"Are you sure it isn't a typo?" Jack asked, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"Yes, Jack. I'm sure.." I trailed off, looking into his beautiful brown eyes. "I wish it was though."

"We've been through so much, Janelle. Why does this have to happen?"

I pulled Jack into a final hug, "I will be back."

"I know, but.." Jack started.

"But what?"

"What if we break apart.. again."

I stayed silent for a minute, not knowing what to say next. I was leaving him for the second time, moving onto my future.

"Then we can fix it, just like we've always had." I finally answered, tears now falling down my face.

"Nellie, promise me something."

"Yes, Jack?" I said, knowing where this was going.

"When you're in collage, and having the time of your life.."

"Continue."

"Don't forget the memories we had."

"I won't, Jackko."

"Don't forget the songs we wrote and sang for each other."

"How could I?"

"Nellie, please don't forget about the guys. Your brothers."

"I promise you, Jack. I won't."

"Nellie.."

"Yes, Jack?"

"Don't forget about me."

"I won't, and don't you forget about me too."

"I promise you, Nellie. I won't, and you know why?"

I looked up at Jack, tears falling down his face too. Our tears were in sync, like the twins we've always been.

"Why, Jack?"

"Because, whenever I'm sad, mad, when I just want to give up." He started. "I remember it's you and me, the Apple Jacks."

"I remember.. everything comes back to you."
