Damn. Nice speech me. 'I refuse to be tempted by such foolishness'? Good job. 5 points in essay! Anyways- I really wanted that book but Astrid was the smarty-pants here and she gave me the 'don't-be-stupid-stupid' look and I just went along. Anyways...fight? That was a dumb move. This dude doesn't seem a tiny bit weak. He looks like a kid- sure- but he looks like some sort of ninja kid dude. Ya know- that stereotypical powerful side character that's like 12 years old. What else makes that move stupid? He pulled out a dagger out of the side of his pants. I never even realized there was a sheath. He pointed it threateningly at us.

"Name's Percy." He stated. Then, he added: "Last name's NOT Jackson."
"You seem to know us." I said, pointing my silver staff at him. "And it doesn't seem to be for a good reason."
"I'm telling you- you're the ones. The ones that'll get me out of here!" He screamed his battle cry before suddenly running straight towards us. That escalated quickly. Am I going to di-
"Iron Shield, Book of Protection; Chapter 4, Page 2!" Astrid quickly reacted, forming a slightly-transparent white forcefield between us and Percy. Slowly, the forcefield surrounded us completely. His dagger harmlessly bounced off the shield. He grunted, pulling back then slashing again, over and over.

"I'll protect- you gotta do all the attacking. I'll be assist and work B.T.S." She explained.
I nodded reluctantly, not having a better plan in mind.
"It seems as if his dagger's made out of iron." She continued, direction her staff in his direction. "So I'll repel it!; The demons of hell repealed by the modern steel, shall be given the chance of the revenge as well as a bountiful meal; Demonic Modernization!"

The tiny blue gem that hung at the end of her silver staff glowed, changing to a steel-like color. It radiated power and Percy couldn't even touch the forcefield created earlier. I need to ask her why she was practicing such an odd spell.

"Learned that in case we need help from some demons or we get into a fight with a swordsman." She said, reading my mind.
"Nice." I did a thumbs up, knowing it was my turn. As I was about to start my incantation, Percy smirked.
"What child's play." He remarked, tossing his dagger behind him. He reached for the other side of his pants. Then- he unsheathed a another dagger. It was metallic black with red lines and stains around it which seemed like blood. "This one's made out of pure Lucis Ruby; an ore in this game."

Astrid growled at the move. "Whatever..."
"Demons of hell, lend me you fire, for the situation I am in is very dire! Create a destructive, blazing flame, or I shall call you demon by name!" I shouted while the two were distracted. This was a hard spell. It sucked the mana out of me and made me feel weaker and weaker as I felt the power flow through my veins. My heart suddenly pumped quicker if it even could. My vision blurred for a moment but came back. I got a sudden rush of adrenaline. The pink gemstone at the end of my staff shined, brighter and brighter, until it blazed into a little fire. Pointing the staff at Percy's direction, I made the fire blast out of the staff, a raging flame shooting out of the pink gem. The fire raced towards Percy, and in the blink of the eye, the flames consumed him, and he was invisible in the fire. But as the fire and smoke went away, an unfazed Percy was swiping dust off his shoulders. So much for that.

"Not bad for a newbie." He complimented.
"Why thank you." Astrid sarcastically thanked.
"I've had enough though." He dashed straight at the shield that Astrid formed at the start of the battle. With his Lucis Ruby dagger, he sliced straight to it. Just as he was about to slash at Astrid, I smacked him in the head (hard) with the end of my silver staff. He stumbled, almost tripping, and rubbed the back of his head.

"Ow." He complained. "That was mean."
"What the heck?!" I turned towards him with an irritated look.
"That isn't very nice." He lounged at me when I was pulled aside a spilt second before the dagger can slice me in half. I did get a scratch though, which a bit of blood seeped out through. Astrid, who was my hero for pulling me out of harms way, growled.
"This was going to be a lot more violent than I wanted..." She muttered. "We can't die though- we might forget."
