(Astrid's P.O.V.)

Forty, thirty-nine, thirty-eight...my mana continued to decrease at blinding speed. Rest In Peace, me. Summoning two things at once is insanity. This is terribly stupid. Both are depleting my mana...the last bits of it I have left...

"Aye! Astrid! You look like you're dying!" Percy yelled at me as he slashed the disgusting golden-eyed beast.
I responded with a soft whimper in agony as the lack of mana began taking its toll on me. It's freezing cold. The cold...it's so...cold...it hurts...
"Oi! Close a summon! Two summons at once is way too much for ya! Don't go dying on me now!" He instructed.
Kathrine took over a part of fighting for me as Tiberius and Clint fought tooth and nail with rundown weapons. Heh...some masters they are...

I'm such an idiot...

The frigid cold slowly ate away at my consciousness letting the darkness swallow my soul. Then all of a sudden I felt rejuvenated. A soothing warmth replenished my dying psyche. I stood on my feet and felt my magic flow within me.

"Holy crap! What's happening to Astrid!? Wasn't she dying earlier???" Kathrine questioned Ashton.
"I recognize this. It's her magic ability: rejuvenate. It drains power from her currently casted spells and returns it to the caster."

Percy fixed his stance and softly muttered an enchantment. His dagger glowed a deadly crimson as he quickly lunged at the devious monstrosity. I closed all my summons, then summoned the physical form of fear. Before me stood a goddess of flawless ivory. Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom. The spider flinched in fear and the chinks in its armor came through.

I still felt somewhat hazy after that mana loss, but I can live this through. Probably. Hopefully. Possibly.

Oh screw it.

The majestic beauty of the Athena Parthenos gleamed. It did nothing but gleam and show off all its puissant glory. Utterly useless yet utterly necessary. The fact it was practically powerless was a hella huge help to me. It didn't drastically drain my mana. Very, very useful. I am forever grateful stupid spider. I will be forever in your debt. However, I must do this.

It was desperate.

Percy was exhausted, scarred, wounded, it was horrifying. To see a human of this much power look so pitiful as he fell at the hands of the enemy makes you feel nothing but terror. It burns you from your very core. Your blood begins to boil. Your emotions begin to stir, your eyes begin to flare and see beyond your normal range of sight.

My vision was flooded with nothing but blue. Unconsciously, I heard myself utter a spell I have never heard myself cast before.

"May death befall humanity. I am thy vessel, thy apostle. Lend power to this feeble soul, o great god of calamity.
Hastened summon: Deus Anima Mea!"

My eyes went blind. White was everywhere. All of a sudden, everything went bleary and I had no bloody clue as to what was happening.

My vision cleared up and everything was clear to me. Somewhat normal. Except everything was flowing a bright blue. Percy continued to fight off the monstrous monstrosity. Kathrine fended it off helplessly. I noticed slightly, however. Her eyes began to flare slightly. I caught a glimpse of red. That deadly glare. It cannot belong to just any normal person. It can't.

Magnus and the shameless duo did whatever they had to. Frantically attempting to save their lives doing this and that et cetera et cetera.

My blood boiled endlessly. Rage flooded me. I felt spiteful.

Don't you bloody dare hurt my friends you idiotic monster.

"Ah Shoot. That hurt." Percy got cut in the arm.
