(Kathrine's P.O.V.)

I shot the arrow, stuck in the moment. The solo arrow I shot punctured the slime, creating a hole in it. I was almost disappointed at the spell until I looked up to see something like a dark airship in the air. It seemed to be getting closer and closer so I squinted my eyes to see. In a split second, the 'airship' fell down on the slime. I quickly realize it's a huge shower of arrows; thousands of shadow-like arrows precisely aiming for the blob. I flashed (...literally) a grin.

"Oh yeah-" The arrows landed on the area the slime was. Since the slime has nowhere to go and was surrounded, it was unable to escape the rain of deadly arrows. The arrows flew through the slime, cutting it in the process. It was disintegrated so quickly that it couldn't regenerate- all the little bits and pieces were destroyed before they can combine once more. The thing was dead. Awkward silence, folks, is all I received. Awkward silence.
"KATHRINE!; YOUR A GENIUS!!!" Astrid leaped at me, squishing me in a tight embrace. And everybody cheered.

"They're not yet reviving." A healer approached us. His name was Will and he was referring to the 'dead' people that wouldn't revive after the battle. After a little celebration, we realized that the fight was not over- the victims of the slime-thing were still on the ground, dead.
"Not yet...?" Astrid repeated.
"Yes. This is very abnormal...all our healing spells, even the most advanced, won't revive them." Will explained.
"Why?" I looked at Percy. He definitely knew something.
"They're not reviving." Percy stated.
"Do- don't say that!" Astrid defended. "They- they'll revive!"
"They're not reviving." He continued.
"Stop!" Astrid covered her ears. "They'll revive! They'll revive!"
"How stubborn. They're not reviving." He said once more, this time, more sternly.
"They-!"
"Why not?" I cut in before Astrid can end her sentence.
"They were killed by one of the Αωοκεηεd βεαsτ." He simply replied. "I told you, didn't I? The game..."

"Has begun."

After around one more hour of trying, the healers were done- the sun was down and they were out of mana (and had no more mana potions). The night sky cover the land like a cloak, the stars twinkling peacefully.

"Why? Why won't they revive?" Astrid was seated on the side of the road with a sad and distant look in her eyes.
"Hey? Why so down?" I comforted her, sitting right beside her. She didn't reply. "Hello? Earth to Astrid?"
After at least a minute silence, she spoke up:
"We must interrogate." I gave her a disappointed look. We just beat some blob things and we're already sulking. She gave me a sad smile. "I want to be happy right now. But I can't."
"Astr-" Before I can finish a word, she stood up.
"Percy!" She called. Percy was lying down beside the other side of the road, polishing his dagger. He was forced by Astrid to stay so he could explain; but for the last hour, he hasn't been saying a thing no matter how much Astrid threatened him (as though either of us could hurt him).
"Coming." He sighed, standing up. He slowly walked to us and I watched at Astrid fume.
"You haven't explained a thing!" She scolded.
"You never asked politely, missis." He sneered. "You gotta have your manners when asking."

He looked like an emo-teen who's just entered 'it's-not-phase' phase.
"Do I have to?! Explain. Now." Astrid forced.
"No can do- were you ever taught manners?" He joked, pissing off the Astrid.
"You must explain now or els-" Astrid raised her staff but I stepped in and held her wrist. Tight. "Hey! Kath-"
"I'll take over from here, missy." I stated, giving her a glare to back off. She stepped backwards still glaring at Percy. Percy was a very odd person. This guy was a riddle- and not a riddle for a lady who only deals with the logical stuff. You gotta be completely stupid to outsmart the stupidly smart. Here goes the stupid this thing I'll say in 2 lifetimes: "Can you please tell us the truth?"
