We sat on the bed eating breakfast, the toast was my favorite part of the food tray. Ade made everything the way I liked it. I looked over at Jessie, she seemed like she was having a nightmare, she squirmed a little under the covers. "Jessie?" Called out Miss Ade. She got off the bed and went to her. "Jessie wake up." Miss Ade said as she placed her hand on Jessie’s shoulder and began to shake her softly.
After Jessie became silent for a few minutes she awoke from her slumber. She sat up with a strong yawn and rubbed her eyes, she looked at me. "Violet?" Her words drift off then she looked at me again. "What are you doing here?" I looked up at her and gave her a small smile.
"We might get adopted before tonight." I said to her as I looked at Miss Ade with a smile. Jessie squealed in excitement, she threw the covers off her and hugged me and Miss Ade tightly.
