It's been a couple years since my return to the orphanage. The blood stained dress was burnt in a fire pit. Many children spread a rumor that I was the killer and that I cursed anyone that dared try to talk to me. It was lonely again, no friends and no family. I didn't even get adopted after that horrible event, people in town were scared of me.

It was now December, not my favorite time of the year. Snow covers the town, the trees were heavy by the weight of the snow. I could hear children from the room over making a list of things they want. Children here only get one gift but that's only if you are lucky.

"Good morning Violet." Said my roommate.

I still never got her name, “Morning, how are you?" I asked as I finished dressing both the dolls.

She didn't respond, "what's wrong?" I asked her again.

“That's the first time you ever spoke to me." She said as she walked over to me.

"Oh sorry." I said as I climbed off my bed.

“It's fine but to be fair I didn't even try talking to you, I thought you were going to hate me." I could hear hesitation in her voice like she was trying to say the right words. She sat at the table with me, she grabbed her doll and we played dress up and other things we could think of.

I placed my doll on the ground next to me and I began to play with Jessie’s  doll. "I’m going to play with this one." She pickes up my doll and made her stand.

"No don't touch her." I snatched it back and stood up with both the dolls in my arms. She was shocked by my reaction and dropped her doll onto the floor.

"I'm sorry I should have asked first." She seemed frightened by me.

‘I need to calm down, I can't expose myself to her.' I thought as I looked at my doll that looked like Jessie then at the one that looked like me. I hannded her one and shaked a little, "Here you can play with this one but don't break her." I said as we both sat back down at the table.

"Thanks Violet." She said nervously.

-time skip because of Ciel’s hotness-

I asked my roommate her name and age during lunch. It turns out her name is Julie Lee and she is 14 (im 16) than me. She told me her story of how she ended up here at the orphange. It’s kind of like my story but  she knows her parents names and why they couldn't keep her.

"Let's go play outside." Julie said as she grabbed my hand and pulled me to the back door. This reminded me of Jessie she would do anything to get me out of my shell. I felt tears fall down my cheeks, they were cold. She stopped in front of me, "What’s wrong? Did I do something wrong?" She asked me as she held my hand tightly.

"Yes I'm fine." I wiped away my tears with my free hand. We went out and playing in the dirt under a few small trees. "Look I found a worm." I said as I picked it up to watch it crawl around my fingers.

"That's gross." Julie said as she giggled a bit. Her brown hair was long and covering her face as she looked down. She was digging holes with a stick, we buried the worm in one of the holes.

"Girls look it’s the witch and the murder." Yelled out a young girl. She was tall for her age, she had red curly hair and a freckles cover her head to toe.

"What do you want Felicity?" Julie said as she grabbed my hand.

"What's it to you witch?" Julie squeezed my hand "let's go violet before this gets out of hand."

‘Who is this?' I called out as I continued to look at the Felicity girl.

"Who do you think?" I looked around and noticed Julie was smiling at me.

I couldn't think or say anything I was a little surprised that there were others that were like me. 'Hold on.' I thought then I looked at the bully and her friends again. "Go away, please." I said to Felicity as I stood up with Julie.

"Why? If I don't you'll kill me like you killed your family?" She pushed it.

I took a step closer and shoved her into the dirt. One of her friends tried to punch me but I slightly burnt him with heat. His fist turned bright red as he squealed like a pig. The other went to hit me as well but I shoved him slightly with my energy.

“Bad mistake." Felicity stood up and went to shove me but instead she fell with her hands on her head.

Julie stood next to me with her fingers on her head and stretched her other hand out to Felicity. I was amazed, 'What are you doing? You'll kill her if you do that for to long.' I thought to Julie but she ignored me. I stepped in front of her and use my energy to break the connection. "Enough." I said to Julie as I pushed Felicity back with energy. (She is stubborn, she tried to hit violet again.) I began to feel dizzy, by every breath I took.

"Im tired of seeing. .. . death. . .everywhere. . . .I go-" I felt myself fall in front of Julie.

---------------

I woke up to Julie sitting next to me in our room. She held my hand tightly and looked up at me as I began to sit up. "Don't worry I'm fine. . . .. . my energy is limited due . . . . to lack of sleep." I tried to say to her as I found a glass of water next to me. I took a drink and noticed Julie was staring at me.

"What do you mean? What are you?" She asked me.

'Well that was rude.' She smiled at me.

“Stay out of my head." I said as I pushed her shoulder gently. We laugh a little then we fell silent.

"Those are good questions." I sighed. "All I know is I have several different kinds of powers. I beginning to think I'm just a demon in human skin." She let go of my hand and dug through her bag. "What are you doing?" I asked her as I tried to see what she was looking for.

“I want to test something." She pulled out a rosemary and set it on my bed next to my blanket covered legs.

"Try grabbing that." She said as she stared at it. "Maybe we can try figuring this out together." She smiled at me. I looked at the rosemary and picked it up, my hand felt warm then hot. I dropped the rosemary back on the bed and examined my hand.

It left an imprint on my palm, the beads left a small marking as for the cross it left a burning mark. My hand stung so bad a single tear fell. "So I am a demon then." I sighed heavily. "No wonder why I've been avoiding priests and Holy lands and such. Besides I never really believed in a religion." I looked up at Julie. She stood up and sat on the edge of her bed.

"This is." She paused and saw that She was thinking of the right word to say. "Incredible!" She laughs and then hugs me. I was very confused by her reaction.

"Your not scared of me?" I asked her still confused.

“No I'm not, I'm just. . ." she paused and sat next to my legs. "I'm kind of confused now, did you actually kill that girl and lady?" She asked as she looked deeply in my eyes.

“Its better to show you then speak it." I said as I grabbed her hand. I let her into my mind and I showed her every detail including the writing I saw.

After I shared my memory with her. I noticed she was crying, "I'm so sorry. . . .I didn't know." She hugged me tightly.

After we went to ear dinner with other children Julie and I went straight to our room. We talked about what the writting could mean, I knew it was Latin but it was to hard to read it do to the blood dripping and moving.

"I have this book that was brought here with me." She pulled a medium sized hardcover book out of her bag and handed it to me. "I don't quite understand it, it's in another language." She said as she flipped through some pages. "There is only one page I understand, that's why I can read minds." She said with a nervous smile.
