Darius and I head for a nearby park, many women stared at Darius as we walk past them some even winked at him. I rolled my eyes as he flirted back. "And you tell me i'm weak around mortals." I chuckle a bit and sat down on a swing as he remained next to me leaning on the pole. "How long are you sticking around for?" I pushed myself a bit with my feet.

"Until you learned every spell in that book." I stopped at looked him "every spell?" I complained as i looked at my bag.

"Oh come on it will be easy trust me." he smiles and crossed his arms.

"Easy right." I pushed myself on the swing again and stared straight ahead.

"Why did you save that kid?" He looks at me then watched the children play around us. I kept silent for a moment to think then spoke, "i honestly don't know."

I stopped with my feet and looked up at him. "Maybe it's because, i know whats it like to not be loved or cared for?"

He smiled then tilts his head down. "What is so funny?" i asked

"someone like you is wanting love? You make me laugh every time we communicate." He laughs as a few kids stare at him.

I punch him in the arm lightly, "Shut up Darius." He stops laughing and looks at his arm like an ugly bug landed where i punched him.

"The hell kind of punch was that?" He looks up at me from his arm.

"I was being nice, I don't want to make another scene." I looked away and watched a little boy take a toy car away from a girl.

"Another scene, hm i can make a scene." He laughs lightly as smoke begins to surround his body. "Don't Darius." I look at him dead serious as my eyes change to a bright purple. He clears his throat as the smoke fades away, "i'm sorry please forgive me master." He bows his head slightly.

"V or violet." I spoke softly correcting him. "Right my bad." He laughs lightly again then leans against the pole once again with hands in his pants pockets and falls silent.

"When shall we start?" I spoke breaking the long silence between us.

"Whenever you like." He spoke softly.

"I just have one problem." We made eye contact, he raised a brow. "That is?"

"Where shall we go?" I asked as i stood up from my swing.

"I know one place you might enjoy." He smirks and grabbed my bag and carried it on his shoulder.
I looked at him with a glare.

"Let me do my job as your loyal servant....violet." He smiled as his eye's glowed a deep red.

I rolled my eye's then turned to walk away. "Fine, do as you please." I pulled my hood up. "Show me this place?"

He keeps his smirk and takes the lead without another word i follow behind.

We made our way to an empty parking lot, a black smoke like portal opens in front of us. "Ladies first?" He steps back and offers me his hand. "Oh you mean you?" I smiled at my lame joke. "Oh i see you still got jokes." He says with a sarcastic smile and goes through with me following behind.

As we stepped through we walked into a beautiful rain forest. The sun was bright and high in the sky, tree tops made shadows for the creatures below. Birds chirp loudly, I could hear the flap of their wings as they leave the branches that danced in the breeze.

"Darius where are we?" I kept looking around as i enjoyed the vibe.

"My mortal home." he leads the way. "You'll have to watch your step."

I look down at him from the nature that surrounded us. "Your mortal home? You mean to tell me you actually have a home in this realm?" I smirked then followed behind him.

"Funny i know."

"No it's honestly interesting, how long you have been here in this realm?" I pulled my hood down.

"I only come here when your father sends me to um.... you know....keep an eye on you." He laughs nervously.

"An eye on me?" I took my hair out of the bun it was in since yesterday.

"Hey look we are here." He spoke quickly changing the subject.

I looked up and saw a large tree house taking up more than four different trees. "Wow...this is gorgeous."

He faded into a black smoke and went up to the top and stood at his door. "Now you try it!" He yells down at me. I look up and shook my head. "Nope I defiantly can't do that." I put my hands in my pockets and looked up.

'It seems like the soon to be queen of the demons can't even do a simple teleportation.'

'Shut up and get down here and help me.' I looked away embarrassed.

He set my bag down by his door frame and jumped down. I watched him hoping he would fail and land on his butt, nope perfect landing.

He smirks and holds his arms out to me. "Give me a hug."

By that i stepped back "uh, no i'm fine."

"You do you want to go up there and get this done and over with correct?" He keeps his smirk and steps closer.

I looked at him then walked over to him. "Fine." I felt awkward and a bit creeped out but I hugged him anyways.

Within contact he felt warm like a fire, his chest was firm against my head, like I was hugging a soft but firm teddy bear. "Awe my master likes me." He said teasingly as he hugs me a bit tighter.

(He is still taller then i am even when he is in this form.)

"Now hang on." He spoke softly as the nature around us played its song.

I could feel his slow heart beat, I could almost fall asleep where I stand.

"Master we are at the front door you can let go of me now." He laughs lightly.

I clear my throat and opened my eyes as i looked around then pulled myself away from him. "Right, yup ok, um that never happened and do not speak of this." I avoid eye contact and blush a bit as I picked up my bag and waited for him to unlock the door.

"Yes master." He smiles big then opens the door for me he steps aside and let's me step in first.

"It's gorgeous, i wish I had a place like this."

He had two large black couches facing each other with a round coffee table in the middle with a large dark red carpet underneath. No electricity in sight, no plumbing, no kitchen only a giant living room and a small room in the back.

"Its yours if you want it." He steps inside closing the door behind him as i take off my boots. "No it's yours, i can always work at a well paying job and buy one myself." He chuckles then placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Oh come on why act like a human? Just take what you want and everything will be fine." He walks over to his couch and lays down on the one close to his window.

"I took this one from a family that was falling apart, an abusive father, children that done evil things with a mother that abused drugs." I sat on the other couch and listened to him quietly.

"So I guess it was a good thing i took this place, if i remember correctly the mother was going to sell this place for some drugs." He adds as he scratches his chin.

Within a few seconds his human form fades as his natural form grows. "You can relax here you know that right?" He moves his long hair to one side and braids it.

I sighed and let my form grow as well. "Have you ever dreamed of fitting in with humans almost to the point where you want to be one?" I looked at the book in front of me before looking up at him.

He has a shocked look across his face, "I never heard a royal blood think that way before." He sits up and leans towards me. "But no i haven't, I like the way i am, I like my job." He smiled.

After we fall silent and avoided eye contact i stood up and walked over to my bag and pulled my spell book out. "Alright let's get this over with."
