chapter 7

-time skip to a few years of living with Ade in her cabin-

The birds were chirping, the trees danced with the calm winds. The river was strong and gorgeous, with many different kinds of fish. Jessie and I searched for worms to feed the fish, one nibbled at my toes as i stood in the river. I looked over at Jessie, she had a fish in her hand but it slipped out of her hands and made her fall in the water.

After many hours of playing outside we ran in to wash up for lunch. Ade made us our favorite soup, ~it was amazing~ Jessie ate more then one serving.

Later on we had to go to the market to get ingredients for tonights dinner. I felt like we were being followed but I ignored it as much as I could. I waited outside the shop as Ade and Jessie go to shop. 

"Well look who we have here." Said a males voice. I looked around and saw a short heavy set male, he had hair that dropped to his shoulders. He had a long brown beared that matched his hair. He smelt like alcohol.

"Please go away." I said softly and turned to walk to the store door. "Where do you think you are going  little missy?" His hand came in contact with my shoulder, He begin to tighten his grip. 

I turned slightly and looked him in the eye. "Let go of me sir." I said calmly and tried to break free from him. I struggled a little more, "I said let go of me!" I calmed myself and teleported myself 4 feet from him. He ignored my words and tried to go after me, I teleported into the shops back. No one was around me except for Jessie, she noticed me slightly trembling and called for Ade. 

-time skip back to the cabin-

We put everything away and went to go play outside once again. It was getting dark fast so we got out of the river and played with some bugs and dirt as we dry off. 

"Girl's dinner!"  Ade yelled out the window that was in the kitchen. "Coming mama!" We both said with a giggle. Ade became surprised than chuckled lightly. We both ran into the house and closed the door and light some candles. 

"My, look at how dirty you two are." She smiles and directs us to the wash tub. We bathed for at least an hour and went to eat some sandwiches. We told stories and ate. 

We heard knocking on the door then a window broke. "Come out now or we will have to use force!" Yelled a males voice. "Girls go hide and quickly." Mama Ade stood up and walked to the door trying to stay calm. She looked the man in the eye, "now what gives you the reason to intrude on my property?" She said in slight irritation. "We heard that you are keeping a witch here!" Yelled out another from the mob  "we want her dead!" Yelled another. 

"That is nonsense, it's just me with myself." Mama said as she begin to slowly close the door. "Now leave I would like to get some shut eye." 

A foot stopped the door from closing. "Then you wouldn't mind if we took a look would you?" Asked a male that was holding a torch.

 "Fine then will you leave me alone?" Mama asked as sge stepped a side. "Put that tourch out it is not coming in with you." They did as she said and searched. 

I couldn't tell where they were, but I wasn't going to get us taken away. I whispered softly, "Jessie, come close we must not be seen." She was under the bed, she crawled to me as the men searched the other rooms. We hugged as I began to chant an illusion spell,  'Obumbratio, obumbratio venit ad me. Cingite me et non possum videre. Sic fiat semper!' (-Shadows, shadows come to me. Surround me so only I can see. So mote it be-)   I felt my energy drain by every second the spell remains. We crawled to the closet and sat next to it. A male approached the closet and opened it, he stood for a while and looked around. 

We made eye contact several times, but thanks to my magic he is unable to see us. "Now you seen every part of my home now leave!" Mama seemed liked she had enough. 

They all left and she locked all the doors and windows behind them. "Ok girls you can come out now, those hooligans are gone now." She called out. I released us from my chant and we ran to hug her tightly. "That's where you were hiding." She patted my head "good thinking darling."  

We calmed ourselves and went straight to bed.
